5 stars out of 5

Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation (Now On Sale for $34) is a weightless, non-comedogenic tinted serum that has a skin-like finish that evens out skin tone and hydrates skin for a no make up finish and look. I purchased this a bit ago because I happen to really like Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch. I really wanted to compare the two formulas but also, Rose Inc’s version is pricey but not nearly as pricey as Chanel’s version at $70. If I could find a cheaper alternative I was all about that.

Let me start off by saying Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation will NOT be for everyone. Some people will love it and some people will absolutely hate it. I fall into the love category and I will absolutely re-purchase this again and again because I love how it brings out the best in my skin.

One of the most important things to know about this formula is it’s sheer and it’s meant for people with already good skin. I have fairly good skin free of acne. I also have virtually no pores (aside from my nose). I do, however, suffer from dullness and I am dry. I tend to have a lackluster, sick look if I don’t wear something to even out my skin tone. That’s why I really love products like this as the sheer bit of tint they provide serves the purpose of evening out my skin tone and brightening up my complexion which is really all I need in life.

The second most important thing you need to know about this formula is application can be a pain. I think when I originally purchased this it took me a long time to add it to the cart as I kept reading how poorly it applied and how it slid around and looked all patchy. I dove in anyway and boy, was I disappointed when it arrived. The reviews were right! It was patchy, it didn’t absorb, and the pigment capsules just didn’t burst and sat on top of my skin. It was a nightmare.

Fast forward, to me being very determined to make it work and I succeeded! The formula is a light serum that feels oily with tiny pigment capsules suspended in the serum. It takes a little work but you need to apply this as you would skincare. I use two pumps and dot them down the sides of my nose. After that I spread it outwards with a firm touch, using my palms to do so. It’s all about getting those little capsule beads to break and combine with the serum to create the tint. This method works or you can put it in the back of your hand and use firm pressure with two fingers to mix it up. Once mixed you can dot it on your face and blend it out. Don’t use a brush, and don’t use a sponge, this is about your hands. If you can get the application down right you’ll be rewarded with a brighter, even-toned complexion that looks like you applied the most luxurious skincare to your face! This evens out my skin tone, brightens up my complexion, eases dullness, and creates a truly my skin but 100x times better experience. It also makes my skin look plumped up. It’s sheer but there’s enough pigment here to create a very flawless, even finish on my skin. Not to mention it just makes me look healthier, more awake, and fresh. It also wears quite well at around five hours (hey, for a tinted product that’s not bad). If you set it with a smidge of powder you can even go longer. This is basically the perfect natural, seamless, fresh look we all want and desire for Summer. It’s the no-makeup makeup look that gives your face an “I just had a facial” look. This is my weekend go-to with a bit of blush, a little mascara, and a bit of concealer. Fresh, youthful, and not heavy on the makeup. It also happens to wear great on drier skin as it feels very hydrating and almost dewy during the initial application with a smooth set! It actually contains some really hydrating ingredients like Squalane and HA.

Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation has issues but those issues are worth the way this looks on my skin. Absolutely adore it!

Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation is available now. Have you tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this wonderful formula!

Where to buy

Sephora Rose Inc

Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation is $49 (Now on sale for $34), 1 oz in size, and available in 14 shade selections. As per the brand, this is a weightless, non-comedogenic tinted serum that plumps and smooths while delivering a sheer, skin-like finish. In my experience with it, it does really work as a tinted serum slash skincare. It plumps and hydrates skin while brightening up my complexion, eases dullness, and evens out my complexion. Personally, I’d recommend it if you already have good skin and just need a helping hand making it look better. This is sheer so, it won’t offer a ton of coverage but it will, however, take already good skin and make it look better. The coverage is natural and beautiful. It does have some application issues that can throw a wrench in all that beautiful coverage but if you use some of the techniques I supplied in the above portion of my review you can get past that challenge easily enough. This has a serum-like consistency with tiny pigment capsules that provide a small bit of coverage. I found it weightless on my skin and not suffocating or heavy at all!

Pros

  • Looks gorgeous!
  • Eases dullness, and brightens up the skin.
  • Gives a no-makeup natural look!

Cons

  • Sheer, is not ideal for anyone who needs heavier coverage.
  • Some issues with the application that need ironing out before you can get perfect coverage.

Who

Rose Inc Skin Enhance Skin Tint Serum Foundation is for anyone who doesn’t wear a lot of foundation or who doesn’t need heavy coverage!

Thank you for the application tips! I bought the set from Sephora that includes the brush. Do you think the brush is useless?

I never purchased the set only the tint. I tried the applicator with a few brushes but didn’t quite work for me. I found hands and fingers worked best! The brush might be great though!?!?!? I just never tried with their brushes just my own. I tried a few denser foundation brushes plus some lighter fiber ones but just couldn’t get it blended well! Let me know! I’d be curious if their brush worked best!

You nailed it. Fingers and patting. All ready to re-up. I like the concealer as well.
