Jill Stuart US Closing and Pulling Out of US Market

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Jill Stuart US online website is closing at the end of June and it appears the brand is completely pulling out of the US Market considering the New York Flagship store has now closed as well. This is a pretty sad day. I believe it was 2009 when Jill Stuart launched their flagship store located in Soho, New York. It was pretty exciting as prior to that you could only get your hands on the brand via secondary sellers from Asia.

Oddly, for me, I didn’t spend as much money on the US launches as I did the Japanese ones. I used to purchase every collection as soon as it launched in Japan but when it came to the US it felt like I already owned what the store was carrying and the smaller new launches felt repetitive.

Jill Stuart isn’t the only brand that has closed up shop. Both Urban Decay and Too Faced have pulled out of a lot of different markets outside the US including Canada. Will you miss the Jill Stuart US website? I think I’m safe saying I probably won’t. The brand just fails to capture my interest lately.

How about you?

Hopefully, we’ll see some cool sales before June arrives. Use code LASTCHANCE50 to get 50% off sitewide!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. As long as you can still source from Asia, no problem. I used Beautylish. Assume they will no longer carry JS, either. Some of the products remain innovative [in this case, not an oxymoron] with good color selections and phenomenal packaging. Some of the recent LE EL has definitely ripped off the JS compacts.

Beautylish will prob deplete what they have. You might even get an item or two on sale! I stopped collecting a few years ago. I think I realized I was being a hoarder with JS versus actually enjoying the items! I didn’t notice EL looking like JS. No kidding! Gotta go look!

I finally ordered from them when I saw their US site was closing. I’ve been interested in their lipsticks for years and almost purchased from the US site back in December 2022. I assume JS products will still be available from vendors that ship their products to the US from Japan. If not, I will be out of luck!

There are LOTS of international sellers out there so don’t worry you won’t be without ;-D But it was def nicer and cheaper via JS directly!

I’ve just discovered my favorite lipstick thanks to you! I ordered quite a few from JS and found one I can’t live without, and OMG I’m obsessed. Bad timing on my part lol

Oh no! LOL I’m both delighted and sorry about that! But hey, at least you got some pretty things!

The Soho store opened in the late 1990’s. I worked for Jill and the Soho store was open in 1998 & 1999
