Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Halloweenies Golletes Perfume Oil Review
A few years ago I wrote an article entitled Touches of Fall. In my long babbling post I gave you some details about “the Lab” aka Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, I hope today you might revisit that post by clicking here if you are not familiar with the brand.
You may wonder why I’m directing you to the post.
Well, I recently got my haul of Halloweenie Perfume Oils from the Lab and I wanted to share a few reviews with you but if you never heard of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (BPAL) you might be a little confused how to purchase, what the product is, etc….the article I’ve directed to you covers alot of aspects of the company, what they sell, etc…..this will help when you jump ahead to read my review.
Halloween is near and dear to my heart and every year I look forward to the Lab’s release of Halloweenie Perfume Oils.
Today I’ll be reviewing Golletes for you!
Check it!
This is a tiny 5 ml glass apothecary jar that houses perfume oil, it’ll set you back $20. Some might feel like $20 is alot of money to shell out for such a tiny vial of perfume however you have to keep in mind it’s a potent blend of oil that has a very high concentrate of fragrance so a little goes a very long way and a bottle will last you years, particularly if you become addicted to BPAL in the near future and end up with MANY bottles of fragrances to choose from in your stash like me!
Why perfume oil?
Perfume oil has a longer throw and linger than any costly fragrance I have ever owned. Many companies, since BPAL’s early introduction, have tried to dupe the incredible formula of these oils but few have the throw and linger than the original. A simple dab on your throat and behind your ears will give off a beautiful throw of fragrance that lingers all day.
Golettes is described by the lab as a glazed pastry with pink sugar.
First sniff you’ll get an exceedingly sweet almost fruity note, a little touch of vanilla and an unknown berry-ish scent. When it touches the skin it reminds me, without a doubt, of Boo Berry or Frankenberry cereal, two of my favs growing up as a kid. The drown down becomes less sweet, less fruity and a bit more mellow, flirty, and pink. It seems to morph into a more sophisticated scent especially considering it starts out as a foody, fruity, sweet blend that some might fight overpowering. It has a touch of sugar and a bit of sweet vanilla with a tiny hint of berry and musk or at least that’s how it comes across on my skin, it will smell different for everyone.
I like it alot!
If you like sweeter, lighter blends and have the patience to wait for it to dry down and morph into something other than a bowl of crunchy berry cereal, you’ll probably adore it.
If you enjoyed this post do let me know as I hope to continue to review the other Halloween fragrances I got from the Lab recently.
