Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Review & Swatches
Want to get your hands on the new Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick? You’ll have to snatch up the Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty on QVC next week (February 5th) when it premieres as the Today’s Special Value.
No word yet but I have HOPES Amazonian Butter Lipstick will become available in more shades for Summer 2013. Because I’m in lust….!
The good news is if you’re loving this little lipstick you’ll be able to experience it a few more times in new shades if you take advantage of Auto Delivery on the Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty which includes six full size products and a makeup bag (Early pre-order number A233578 at QVC.com).
Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Plummy Rose is a dusky rose color and an MLBB (my lips but better) on my lips and skin tone. The shade alone is reason to rejoice, I love dusky natural shades of rose like this! They are so flattering on my lips (or at least I think so).
The lipstick comes in a cardboard tube and has a delicious candy mint taste and scent. I think “butter” is slightly misleading as you automatically assume it’s a lip balm sans any pigment. But no worries this is a pigment rich lipstick that has a weightless feel on lips with sheer to medium color. It glides onto lips with a beautiful soft, buttery feel and texture providing moisture and color with a creamy finish that softens lips through the wear with cupuacu and murumuru butters.
Although small in size it actually houses 0.1 of lipstick (a little more than a MAC full size). I think the size is misleading as I thought for a second it was a deluxe sample but actually it’s a full size lipstick.
If all lipstick were as weightless, pigmented, and moisturizing as this one I’d be a happy girl. The light sheen finish, pretty color, and moisturizing formula were a treat for my lips.
Please Tarte, release a full shade selection in Amazonian Butter Lipstick.
