The new Avon Sunset Glow Bronzer has caught my eyes, I wants some please?
I’m not much for bronzer but I can be convinced on occasion and these are both cute and budget friendly, indeed I likey.
I don’t have any issues with lighter, natural makeup in the Summer. Who wants a ton of makeup on their face in this humidity? If you favor a more natural look or desire some lighter makeup for Summer all with a budget price you might want to check out Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Multi-Pencil.
I dunno how much you use eye liner but if you use it alot or you’re just on the hunt for something cheaper the new Rimmel London Special Eyes Precision Eye Liner Pencil should do you well.
At first glance you may mistake the new N.Y.C. New York Color Cosmetics Extreme LipGlider Lipgloss for the Urban Decay Ultraglide Lip Gloss. But there isn’t any mistaking the $3.99 price tag versus UD’s $17 one!

If you’ve been reading Musings for a while, I’m sure you recall the days that I didn’t review drugstore brands (US ones anyway). Things have changed considerably in the last year or so and I’ve embraced alot of US drugstore brands as I wanted to cover all aspects of beauty not just high end but also lower.
This past Spring (and some of Summer if you consider it Summer already) has been an incredible time for drugstore releases. Makeup quality has changed in the past few months as have the releases in store which had made going to my local drugstore a rather fun experience rather than a chore. Granted, not ever release is a good one but hunting down new products and finding gems in the rough so to speak is always great fun.
Do take a look at the slide show below for some of the latest and greatest releases that are available now at your local drugstores. Some are well worth checking out!

Have you hauled any of these items or collections for yourself?
Just when I had written off Wet n Wild Cosmetics as a bust they release the new Wet n Wild Color Icon Collection….
Um hello wow!
Dude, so cool. So cheap.
You need it!
Mmm can’t really dish out the dough for the new Bobbi Brown Beach Club Metallic Cream Eyeshadows?
No worries, check out Avon Cool Bliss Eyeshadow!
The limited edition Maybelline Salsa Sun Collection should be guest starring at your local drugstores. Keep in mine their are two separate displays for this release one contains the Maybelline Salsa Sun Color Collection and one contains the Maybelline Salsa Sun Lipgloss Collection. All of the pieces in both collections are limited edition so if you find that you’re lemming anything after this review, I’d highly suggest heading out to snag it because the few times I’ve seen the collection it has been very picked over with little to nothing left. Heck I had to visit two separate drugstores just to get some of the color and some of the glosses.
Jump ahead to hear about the Maybelline Salsa Sun Lipglosses!
Gather around kids.
Let me tell you something. Don’t let ANYONE ever telling you that spending less on product is a good idea. In some cases you may get lucky when you go the budget route but in my experience it’s rare that you actually snag something worthy of it’s $4 buck price tag.
For example, Bonnie Bell My Style Concealer is a mere $3.49. Sounds to good too be true doesn’t it?

Ahhh….who doesn’t like a good deal? Some of you REALLY like a good deal and in some cases aren’t interested in dishing out $15 or more on makeup. It’s ok, some of us just aren’t up for splurging on cosmetics particularly in this economy. I’m sadly of the mentality that you get what you pay for but let’s be honest here, sometimes cheap isn’t THAT bad right?
