Bits & Bobs

It’s not too late! There’s still time left to head to Sephora and snatch up a few good gifts for friends and family!
Considering that New Year’s is next week you might want to indulge in Stila Eyes & Shine Smudge Pot Trio which contains three smudge pots for $32 USD. At around $10 USD per a pot the Muse is liking this good deal for an elegantly lined eye look for New Year’s Eve (and day) parties and gatherings!
Stila’s Eyes & Shine Smudge Pot Trio contains three gel eyeliners in black, bronze, and gray. Although most makeup addicts claim MAC Fluidline is the go to product for liner the Muse begs to differ. She finds that fluidline applies streaky and she hates having to go back and re-line as it creates more of a mess! The formula of Stila Smudge Pots applies precisely, easily, and mess free the first time, every time, no re-lining required. As per their name they smudge beautifully well to create that perfect smoked out look plus they make a wonderful base for shadows if you choose.
I thought including three smudge pots in one kit was quite a nice value and I think it makes a rather cute little stocking stuffer or come on who can resist getting it for yourself right? You know you wants it!
Snag your set at Sephora or visit www.stilacosmetics.com
What are your fav potted liners?

The Muse think that stocking stuffers are the order of business today! Is it me or are stockings stuffed with cute little gifts are what Christmas is all about? I freaking heart uber cute items to tuck into family and friends stockings!
The Muse wants to fill your stocking with joy this year so check out her review and giveaway of Yes to Carrots Frosty Loves C Lip Butters below!
If you’re anything like the Muse your lips might be suffering at the moment with the crazy cold weather we are having! Yuk!0
If you’re look for a nice, natural, paraben-free lip treatment you might want to try out Yes to Carrots Lip Butter. These are pretty much the same concept as your normal run of the mill chapstick but the formula is vastly different. It deserves to be mentioned I’m not a big fan of chapstick because I hate the waxy feel. The good news is that these have a superior formula to chapstick. They are soft, moisturizing, and glide nicely onto the lips protecting them from the harsh winter weather and preventing them chapping, drying out, and cracking. Of course the key selling point being the natural good for you ingredients and the paraben-free formula.
Now the Muse hates choosing so she’s happy she doesn’t have to choose with the Yes to Carrots Frosty Loves C Lip Butter Gift Set! The set includes three tasty selections to choose from. You’ll get Mint, Berry, and Carrot all tucked into a cute box decorated with a little snowman!
Cutes for your stocking right?
So allow this Muse to stuff your stocking with your own Yes to Carrots Frosty Loves C Lip Butter Gift Set! Just put your email address and name into the widget below for your chance to win! Good Luck! The contest is open to US and International readers.

Yes to Carrots is holding a little contest at the moment on it’s Facebook Group asking readers, “What do you say yes to?”
Last week the Muse said Yes to smoother, softer hands by using Yes to Carrots Pampering Hand and Nail Spa. She was thinking about it and she realized that when it comes to cosmetics she’s constantly saying YES, YES, YES! Hmmm it’s rare you hear no uttered from these lips when makeup is invovled! With all the sales going on lately it’s getting harder and harder to say nay!
Yes to Carrots is curious about what YOU say yes too! Tell me about it in the comment field and than enter for your chance to win a free ticket to the new movie Yes Man starring Jim Carrey.

Hmmmm the Muse came across some interesting sales on Sephora today! Seems Sephora is axing Pop Beauty and Vincent Longo from the line up and slashing prices on LE Holiday goodies across the line!
And here we are with another sale……
Nothing is sacred this year and virtually everything, including luxury gifts, are getting the axe and experiencing an abnormal price cut! A reader mentioned that MAC in the UK is even having a sale…makeup sale in Europe? Unheard of!
Sephora appears to be doing it’s normal house cleaning by placing Pop Beauty and Vincent Longo on sale however they are also slashing prices on many, many gift sets! This is highly unusual and leads me to believe that the items simply didn’t sell well this year and they have to get rid of them somehow. Right now it’s 7 pages give or take a few pages for items that were already on sale such as Bourjois Paris and Sugar Cosmetics however I’m seeing big name brands on the sale list such as Stila, Urban Decay, even Fresh!
I’m curious what will happen as Christmas comes nearer and in fact passes for that matter. I’m guessing we are in for some serious discounts after the Holiday. We’ve seen some great sales this season but I think we are in for some SERIOUS sales come the New Year! Who knows this year you may see them giving away items for free during the semi-annuals! At this rate we are all going to need extra storage to stash away our ridiculous hauls.
Here’s some items that Sephora has slashed and that the Muse suspects will be slashed even further after Christmas.
Stila Shine on Gift of Glaze Regularly $28 USD now on sale for $22 USD
Urban Decay Essentials Regularly $39 USD now on sale for $25 USD
Philosophy Under the Mistletoe Ornament Lip Shine Gift Set Regularly $28 USD now on sale for $25 USD
Vincent Longo Diamante Quad Regularly $40 USD now on sale for $28 USD
Pop Rose Bell Blush Palette Regularly $28 USD now on sale for $19.60 USD
Too Faced World Domination Tour All Access Backstage Beauty Collection Regularly $42 USD now on sale for $34 USD
Tawaka “The Ball” Regularly $65 USD now on sale for $35 USD
Clickie for more items that are on sale!
Obviously the recession is the root of all evil in the cosmetic world because it’s causing some serious temptation to splash out major bucks to haul all we can at these prices! Sheesh! The Muse is being good and not indulging but she can’t say these aren’t some nice steals and deals that are popping up lately!
What about you?
