So you like lipgloss but you don’t like having to pay $20 or more for a single gloss from your favorite brands?
That’s why the Holidays are a great time to indulge as brands package up glosses in an array of various sets that house smaller, minis sizes (or if you’re lucky larger, full sizes) for half the price. Mini isn’t always better in my personal opinion as I tend to run through them fairly quickly but you are getting variety here and that’s always important. Plus unlike powder products I find that Lipgloss Sets tend to stay true to their formula, ie, the formula isn’t cheapened or reformulated to fit the smaller price tag.
Here’s a few of my recommendations and picks to add to your Sephora Friends and Family order because 20% off plus the already low price tag of the set really makes things all the sweeter!
Sephora is offering its traditional 20% off during their Friends and Family Event. Yay! Thanks Sephora.
Here’s a quickie, sneaky little tip for getting even more during their sale.
Type in “sale” in the search box on Sephora now gleefully squeal as dozens of items pop up that are already on sale at Sephora.com
Items that caught my eye:
Philosophy Spring Has Sprung! Set Originally $17.50 Final Cost After Discount $14

Tokidoki Prisma Lip Gloss Originally $5 Final Cost After Discount $4

These are just a few items that caught my attention but there are quite a few items on sale at the moment so you can indulge in some extra savings!
Let’s face it, some of us are in serious denial that Tarte didn’t gift us with their traditional Cheek Stain Trio this year.
How could they? Hey, give them props for creating the stupid brilliant Vanity Makeup Case. Betcha they were so busy creating that awesomeness that they simply didn’t have time to get together a trio of cheek stains, don’t hate.
For those who already own a million of their Cheek Stains this post need not apply but those new to the brand can indulge in Tarte Holiday 2010’s Ring It In Cheek Stain Set.
This set includes a cocktail ring plus three Tarte Cheek Stains in:
- Vivid (vibrant rosy pink)
- Luster (peach champagne)
- Flawless (soft peachy pink)
The set is $25 plus knock that sweet 20% off for a break down of $20 bucks.

Canadians and in store shoppers…try not to worry as I doubt Sephora overlooked you. I suspect Canada will probably hear something about their own FF event soon. As for in store shoppers, I’m betting Sephora does something in November for BI and VIB members. Let’s wait and see before rant it Crossing my fingers, toes, and legs!
