Isadora Ultra Cover Compact Powder was recently released along with the Isadora Summer Collection. Although the compact isn’t apart of the Summer Collection it manages to stand up by itself and offer very good coverage with an equally nice price tag.
With an SPF 20 and plenty of pigment to cover everything, the Isadora Ultra Cover Compact Powder could be a nice (and cheaper) dupe of the Muse’s very favorite powder of the moment, Benefit Hello Flawless. If you’re looking to cut corners this powder is half the cost ($16 USD) and has plenty of the pigment that wow’ed me over when I reviewed Hello Flawless for you!
The powder instantly covers problem areas with a pigmented, silky formula that blends easily and flawlessly into skin. The powder comes in one universal tone which I suppose Isadora thought was a good idea but it’s a bit too beige and orange for this Muse but she does so admit that it blends pretty well once applied however I do have my doubts for anyone with fairer skin than my own or even darker for that matter as the shade just seems a tad off for darker or lighter tones. I’d recommend it for medium, medium fair, and possibly caramel tones but nothing darker or lighter than those.
SPF 20 protects skin against the harsh Summer sun while the powder formula allows for breathable flawless coverage for oily to normal skin. At the moment my skin is suffering it’s normal stage of dryness after a harsh Winter and the powder applied perfectly well without flaking up or looking unnatural on.
Coverage is mostly definitely heavy but can be applied sheer with a brush instead of a sponge. I imagine you can get all three coverages from the one powder including light, medium, to heavy. The powder is supposed to be ideal for covering up ruddy cheeks or redness on the face however I suffer from neither so I can’t say if that works but I did take note that the finish is that of a mineral foundation and it evens out my skin nicely.
For the price I don’t think you can go wrong especially if you’ve been considering Hello Flawless but just weren’t willing to dish out the $34 for it. Isadora Ultra Compact Powder makes quite a nice dupe and is good wear for the humid days ahead when our skin will need a bit of powder to keep it mattified and fresh looking while battling a forehead that looks like a mirror as our skin becomes more oily due to the warmer weather. I’d have liked a bigger selection of colors but for what it’s worth the universal shade isn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be at first swatch, just remember to build up coverage slowly to avoid a case of a muddy or a mask-like look.

Although the Muse is anything but a sun goddess she can’t help herself from falling helplessly in love and lust with the IsaDora early Summer release, IsaDora Bronzing Trend.
The Muse is loving the beautiful lips and eyes in this promo image. The sun kissed, bronzy lips are gorgeous and the seductive bronzes and golds on the eyes is truly a stunning look for Summer! These are the days I don’t mind all that tanned skin so much as it looks so yummy for the warm weather!
All of the details for the items releasing are in the promo image below:
The Muse is on board with that shadow palette, blushing bronzer, and gorgeous shade of lipgloss!
Likey!
IsaDora Bronzing Trend could get me on board with a tan yet! One never knows when presented with a collection like this.

Oh hai super cheap light and bright for my eyes!
IsaDora Eye Brow Lift & Define is a dual ended pencil that multitasks the job of defining and filling brows and highlighting them. One end of the pencil has a dark brown brown filler whole the other has a soft matte pink highlighter on the other end.
My brows are full already that I’m not making as much use out of the filler as I should but I am seriously in lust with the highlighter side of the pencil. It’s kinda a cheaper version of Benefit Lemon Aid. It works great at simply highlighting the upper brow area, giving eyes an arch and illusion of a lift. Or use it all over your eye to mattify it (particularly great if you have oily lids) and waken up your eyes. It’s ideal as a prep and prime for eyes and acts as a concealer for your lid area. My lids tend to be a bit red and dull unless I use a yellow base on them prior to applying shadow so this is ideal as a little pick me up for my lids. Even though it’s a pale pink shade it still manages to freshen up my lids and make me look wide awake and fresh. Likey! At $13 USD it’s a rather nice little steal and deal.
Who might like this:
- Anyone who has oily lids and wants to mattify them prior to shadow to prevent creasing and fading.
- Those who need to fill in brows for a fuller look!
- Anyone who has a touch of sagging around the eye area and desires a lifted look.
- Those who need a wake up call for their eyes!
All in all I really liked the price on this and can def see myself purchasing again in the future. I like the convenience of a dual product but I’d actually like to see them do the highlighter separately as I made more use of it.
You can purchase IsaDora at Amazon and Cosmetic Mall.

It’s so terribly easy to sucker the Muse into wanting a great palette. For example have you seen the Isadora Blooming Spring Eye Palette? Well hello pretty, the Muse wants you for her very self. She promises to cherish you and whisper sweet nothings in your ear!
Combing shades like soft pinks, greens, and purples in a beautiful slim line compact is always a good idea especially when their are Muse’s around that will fall into lust with it. The collection looks rather big but it’s actually not a ton of must have products aside from that simply stunning palette. The collection is not yet available but will release on March 26th. The palette is merely $19 USD and contains five shades of shadow. The Muse must say that’s a rather budget friendly compact for Spring! Sweet! Also releasing are three new shades of Isadora Crystal Shine Lipstick, one new blush shade, a new liner, and other bits and bobs none of which hold my attention as much as that bloody palette.

It’s that time of the year when the Muse is all about frosty shimmering shades. The snow is laying on the ground outside and the wind is blowing so hard it feels like it’ll knock you clear off your feet so hues of frosty white, peach, blue and purple are definitely in style today.
I think an icy, cool look a la the Ice Queen for the Holidays is so very chic and fitting with both the season and the weather!
Let me show you the perfect palette for creating a gorgeous shimmering Ice Queen look that’s sure to be a hit this season!
The Isadora Dazzling Diamond Collection totally caught my eye this season due to it’s gorgeous packaging and shimmering shades. Of course the Isadora Diamond Eye Shadow Palette ended up on my hit list right away with it’s gorgeous mirrored compact design and five cool, frosty shades of shadow. The Muse can’t resist all that goodness!
The palette contains five shades of extremely soft, silky, pigmented shadows that include frosty blue, shimmering white, sparkling peach, and two shades of purple. All the shades would be wholeheartedly approved by the Ice Queen herself I’m sure. I loved the finish of the shadows and they are like nothing I’ve ever tried before formula-wise in the eyeshadow world. They are quite light and soft with nice pigmentation however they do crease a fair bit so proper prepping prior to application is required to avoid a mess later in the day. I noticed the shades work best on their own and not combined with other colors in the palette. They blend nicely however when applying two or more shades you end up with a fair bit of a muddy look. Personally I think they look best on their own anyway so in keeping with that theme you’ll end up with five separate looks from the one palette.
The palette’s design is just as gorgeous as what it holds. The compact is a complete mirror design with Isadora’s logo on the top lid. This does cause major fingerprint problems but I simply wipe off with a soft cloth after I’ve used it and it’s back to it’s gorgeous self again!
Using the white shade from the palette
Using the blue shade from the palette
At a tiny price tag of $21 USD I think that the palette is well worth picking up! I loved the cool look the shadows created and think they are quite flattering for not only the upcoming Holiday but also the cooler weather!
All in all the Isadora Diamond Eye Shadow Palette is definitely a nice little item to tuck into your stocking this season!

The evil allure and temptation of IsaDora’s Holiday Collection got me good! I found myself captivated by the gorgeous IsaDora Diamond Ring with Gloss….I guess what they say is true…..Diamonds (and gloss too!) are a girl’s best friend!
I’m unsure if it was the sparkling Swarovski crystals or the gloss housed inside that captured my heart when I seen this glittering cocktail ring but I do know I’ll be sporting it happily through the season, in fact I’m wearing it today! Why wait for the Holidays!?
The IsaDora Diamond Ring is a quite a heavy piece of jewelry! Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a wimpy little ring with a cute gloss thrown it! Far from it! The piece has a sterling silver quality and is quite a fashionable piece of custom jewelry! I’m a sucker for jewelry so this totally appeals to that side of my nature. The ring is an oval style triangle decorated with Swarovski crystals and baring the IsaDora name sake on it’s side.
Wear it out for a bit of bling and slyly slip it open for gloss touch up on the go! The ring slides open to reveal a shimmering pink gloss to slick on lips on the fly!
As you can see it’s difficult to resist all that shine, sparkle, and glimmer! Pairing up elegant jewelry and lipgloss…..total perfection! The Muse likey!
The IsaDora Holiday Collection 2008 has wormed it’s way into my heart and I’ll be indulging in further items very shortly! Look out for my review on the yummie palette soon!
