The Muse feels it’s her responsibility as a Benefit girl to let you know that the Benefit Velvet Eye Shadow Collection has been updated with a new shade called, “I Cannes & I Will”.
This was a little hush, hush as Benefit didn’t really go full force into Fall as many brands do. You know Benefit they like to wow us with one major release at a time not entire color collections but just a single awesome item every month or so.
Today the Muse is hoping and praying for you. As of September 24th MAC releases Style Black and the Muse is every so hopeful you’re hauling it. No, no not the color cosmetics…..no worries this Muse understands not everyone can pull off black lipstick.
She’s talking about the re-release of MAC Volcanic Ash.
Oh joy! Bless Be! The gods have answered my prayers. MAC Volcanic Ash is repromoted for a limited time…yes it’s only a limited time so best get a case of it.
I should hope you’ve tried this incredible face scrub. Last year I did a review and a huge rave on MAC Volcanic Ash. I’m delighted that it’s returning and equally pleased they changed the packaging. Originally Volcanic Ash came housed in a plastic jar which was a big old mess. This year they released it in a squeeze bottle which is absolutely ideal and way more hygienic. See? The MAC Gods listen to our rants and improve on their failures.
On top of the release of MAC Volcanic Ash you’ll get the added bonus of Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask. I was so smitten with the latter I didn’t get a chance to try the mask on the last release so I’m every so happy to get my chance to haul it. Anyone try the mask? Tell me the deets.
Please tell me you’re as overjoyed as I am at the promise of Volcanic Ash’s re-release.
If you never tried it you absolutely must! It’s incredible.
Banila Co hits the Fall scene with a brand new…ahem…a rehashed release of De La Couture II. If you’re a fond fan of Korean makeup you probably remember last year’s release of Banila Co De La Couture. I imagine they took the idea and just ran with it again this year. Although it’s new items and new colors it does still fail to wow me into believing I absolutely need it and can’t breath without it. Dare I say last year’s colors were actually more exciting!
This Muse wasn’t placing any bets on absolutely loving the new Philosophy Supernatural Coloring Book.
It’s a little expensive, a little bit too tiny for the price, and well…the colors aren’t exactly as bright and fun as I like ‘em. Turns out it’s a total winner and comes with my highest Muse Approval to date.
They were so not kidding when they said this contained everything I needed to create a super natural face. Then I saw my face and now I’m a believer people!
Now….I did so give into the idea of a vibrating mascara last year but I can’t say whether or not I’ll go so far as to indulge in a vibrating…foundation?
Yes, you read that right.
Cashing in on the success of Oscillation Mascara, Lancome is now introducing Oscillation Foundation due out this Fall (October).
Lancome’s Oscillation Powerfoundation cushioned applicator delivers 7,000 micro-vibrations per a minute…..oo techy! This in turn breaks down the mineral foundation and seamlessly buffs the product into skin. Lancome lays claim this will give an airbrushed finish and a record breaking 14 hours of wear. It also has the added benefits of acting like a Clarisonic Brush by supposedly diminishing the appearance of lines and pores after one week and refining skin texture after four weeks.
Whoa.
Me? I didn’t like the Clarisonic Brush all that much so I’m unsure at this point how I feel about applying mineral foundation with a vibrating sponge…..
But you can try to convince me this will be a good thing.
What’s your word on the new Lancome’s Oscillation Powerfoundation?
