I love Lorac Visual Effects Mascara.

Bestest mascara evers people!

You must go out and grab yourself one immediately!

I blogged this way back when but I never got the chance to snatch up one for myself and plenty of time passed before I actually decided to add it into my cart for purchase! I must be mad to have waited so long to grab it because it’s seriously awesome.

Allow me to mention that Chanel Exceptionnel Mascara is sincerely awesome but the price tag is in the high end range of $28 USD. I don’t mind the price in all honesty as the product is sincerely solid and high quality however if you’re not feeling that price you can go grab yourself a $19.50 USD tube of Lorac Visual Effects Mascara and call it a day because honestly it works pretty much in the same way as Chanel Exceptionnel!

It deserves to be mentioned that the applicators are vastly different on the two mascaras however I discovered while testing both that I got pretty much the same finish to my lashes with both (and might have even liked Lorac’s version a little bit more!).

Lorac’s promise of longer, fuller lashes comes through big time with the intense applicator and great mascara formula. It curls, separates, and lengthens my lashes to extreme heights which makes Lorac Visual Effects Mascara a possibly new Holy Grail mascara for the Muse!

The applicator works as a brush and a comb by pulling upwards, outwards, and combing through for extra lenght and volume. The brush is a oddly shaped barrel design that with first use will create a rather big smudgy mess but after a little bit of a learning curve you’ll be quickly on your way to longer lashes!

I liked the false-like look this created to my lashes and how much lenght I was able to achieve with two applications or even one for that matter! One minor rant is the fact that I get small smudges on the top of my upper eye due to how long my lashes are now. So when I first apply I have to be careful not to blink until the mascara dries otherwise I end up with little tiny dots of mascara on my highbrow area. The formula is ultra black and very thick so if you’re not a lover of thicker formulas you may want to avoid this.

I was SHOCKED to hear the poor reviews of this on Makeup Alley! I personally loved it and definately recommend trying it out. I am slightly worried about the effects it would have on those with shorter lashes as I do see that this may create a bit of a mess however those with naturally fuller, longer lashes it should be ideal to create great volume and curl!

I honestly loved this one and give it a big hearty approval for purchase!

All in all I’d say it does exactly what it promises however it does take one or two applications to learn how to use it correctly to get the best results!

This one I’m loving!

Tried it already?

Like it?

Love it?

I love LORAC products and I think they are very high quality for their prices. This mascara is HG material, I think. Look at your after picture, wow!

Is Lorac sold at Sephora, or somewhere else?

I want to try this!

Girl, I don’t know if you can tear me away from my Exceptionnel, but I’ll give this a shot. My wallet will at least be happy.

hello there rebecca!

Thanks love. I really appreciate your stopping by daily to read my blog :)

I have not sadly tried that as of yet but if I do I’ll def review…it may be after the holiday though as a majority of my cash at the moment is heading into holiday collections :)

I have tried Guerlain’s new foundations if that’s helpful..the review is up on one so far!

Thanks for the comment!
