Innisfree Trouble Care BB Cream Review

The Muse loves the fact she can bring you a review for a BB Cream that’s 1. easily available online for purchase and 2. quite an inexpensive beauty budget find.

Which BB Cream am I talking about?

InnisFree Trouble Care BB Cream, available at Sasa and quite an inexpensive beauty find at $15.30 USD.

If you’re unfamiliar with BB Creams please read my introduction of BB Creams here.

Innifree Trouble Care BB Cream is actually quickly turning into HG (holy grail) material for me and that’s saying something as I’m quite picky with BB Creams. Strangely enough it’s not even made for my skin type as it’s for oily, acne skin types. Taking into account it was made for oily skin I was worried about using it on my dry skin but it turned out it worked like it absolute dream!

One of the first things I loved about the formula was the perfect shade of milky beige cream it was, this was a perfect fit for my skin and once I applied it was equally as light on as it adjusted to my tone perfectly. On top of the perfect shade selection it also had a beautiful formula that glided onto my skin, absorbed easily, and made my skin feel dewy and fresh. I was surprised as being made for oily skin I feared it would dry me out but it was wonderfully refreshing on and created a flawless canvas for my makeup. Everyone always raves to me about the benefits of using their BB Cream as a fabulous concealer but honestly I’ve never had success using BB Creams as an under eye concealer. However, Innisfree Trouble Care BB Cream worked perfectly as both a foundation and a concealer! It really did a rather fab job of covering up all my woes including puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles.

This comes in a pump style bottle just like Etude House Magic BB Cream but I’m not loving this at the moment since the depressor has a bit of a problem where the slightest pressure distributes way too much product. You don’t need a ton of the cream to cover your face as it’s richly pigmented and sadly I find it amazingly wasteful that I can’t get it working correctly to pump out only a tiny amount. Each time I use it a big dollop comes flying out! Aside from this minor rant I absolutely love this one and Muse Approve it for purchase!

Why I loved it:

  • Richly pigmented, a little dab will do my entire face
  • Leaves me with a flawless, even complexion that’s younger, fresher, and healthier
  • Creates a perfect working canvas for my makeup
  • Acts as both a concealer and a foundation
  • Feels natural and breathable on my face
  • Formula is moisturizing and absorbs easily into my skin

Who I think would love it:

  • Anyone who wants a beautiful, fresh complexion
  • Anyone with Fair, Medium Fair, and Lighter Skin Tones
  • Those who have a certain dullness to their skin and want a bit of freshening up
  • Anyone who likes a multitasking product that gets you out the door faster!

I do think this is a near perfect product however it seemed to be quite rich for anyone with oily or acne skin even though the formula is made exactly for that skin type. Once it’s on your skin it’s quite light and natural feeling however during application it has a bit of a thick, creamy formula which worries me for people who fear clogged pores.

I used the Innisfree Trouble Care BB Cream in my latest review FOTD for Prescriptives, I’ve included one picture below of me wearing it but if you’d like to see more do visit that post. Over the course of the next few days you’ll see me wearing it in other FOTD’s and I’ll def post to say as such.

Overall, it’s probably one of the better BB’s I’ve tried and I absolutely adore it and highly recommend picking one up. I’m thrilled I can offer an easily accessible BB Cream that’s available as an online purchase as normally BB’s I’ve featured in the past aren’t available stateside or online and if they are online it’s for a crazy amount of money.

All in all I loved this one and it’s definitely staying close by for daily cosmetic rituals.

The Muse loves it!

i totally love this one! I only had a sample of this through a friend and used the sample for a month. it really helped me cover up my blemishes and i think it help me with my pimples to. its really nice! also the coverage is heavy at first but after a few minutes its going to blend well with your skin!

    • the Muse

Hi tudor this is one of my favs! Good BB overall. 😀 Really nice color match as well. I’ll be doing a round up bb creams soon, look for it shortly 🙂

  • Coral

    Hi Muse!
Could you please tell me, in your opinion, which BB cream works better for everyday wear; the innisfree trouble or the Etude house Magic cream? (i would include the Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer too, but, for its price i guess it goes in a different category, doesnt it?
    Thanks a lot!
    I LUUUUUUUUUVE your blog =)

    • the Muse

      Hi Coral

Thanks for stopping by and thanks 😀 glad you enjoy my Musings!

It really depends on what sort of formula you like. The Innisfree is heavier compared to the Etude House Magic Cream. If you lighter coverage go with the EH if you like creamier, moisturizing coverage go with the Innisfree. My personal fav of the two is the Innisfree. I love it.

The Kevyn Aucoin def is in a place all it’s own 😀 It’s quite good too and worthy of a pick up if you’re wanting to splurge.

      hi ukashka

I got this on Sasa, not sure if they ship to the UK.

      Hope this helps!

  • Elise

Hi Muse, first of all, I love your blog and find your reviews very useful!!!
I live in downtown Seoul for the moment and I’m a stonethrow away from tons of cosmetic chain stores. If you ever need anything that’s hard to find online, I’d be happy to help out!!!

Wishing you a happy and pretty 2010!

  • Scarie

Innisfree ??? Wonder where they got the name, in Ireland Inisfree is a little island in the middle of a lake and it is famous cos W.B Yeats wrote a poem about it!

    • the Muse

hey scarie 😀 not sure if it was inspired by The Lake Isle but that would be kinda cool if it was haha

    • steiner

It is exacly like you said, but as i heard the name inspired from the poem rather than isle itself.

  • Naomi

What does this BB Cream do? I know you said in the Etude Review what the EH Magic BB Cream did, so I was wondering if you can tell me what this Innisfree one does? Thanks! =)

  • Naomi

I’m sorry, I mean, what does it do in terms of: does it have whitening agents, or it moisturizes, or it covers up blemishes, or gets rid of acne…etc. I know that with BB Creams in general things like this are what are included, but with Etude I know that you mentioned it has no whitening agents, so I was wondering if you can list the functions of this Innisfree BB…? Thanks! =)

  • angela

hmm… is this ok for dry skin? my skin’s dry in fall n winter, and now that its spring, its getting kinda oily… so will it work for both though?

    • the Muse

yup angela should be great for dry skin. Oily not so sure but dry it’s perfect!

  • Estella

Hi, I have extremely pale, sensitive, dry skin. Which BB cream would you recommend?
    Thanks!

    • the Muse

hi estella don’t rec bb’s hun b/c it’s a hit or miss with skin types, tones, etc….

      • Estella

Thanks anyway, I suspected as much. I just liked the sound of one product that did everything! Love your blog x

        • the Muse

hey estella. BB are my HG 😀 but they are a product you need to try for yourself to understand 😀 and get a fee for. Aw thanks *hugs*

        • Jessica Allison

          Estella,

My skin is very similar to yours- dry, sensitive (I actually use prescription Renova, which makes it even more sensitive) and very pale (Nars Siberia is a good match for me; all MAC is too dark). I tried the Missha sample kit that has their Perfect Cover BB in shade 23.

The shade was way to dark, but I tried it anyway while I was on vacation, and was actually able to blend it out by applying it a bit further onto my neck, so it does blend nicely & gives me confidence that their lightest shade will probably be grate for us ultra pale gals. Otherwise, I was very impressed w/ the coverage and formula. I’ll be posting a more detailed review on my site today, but I’d say this one may be worth trying!

          • Jessica Allison

did I actually just spell “great” G-R-A-T-E? What is wrong w/ me today? 🙂

  • Nene

    hey! girly!!!
quick question…whats a good powder to put on after any BB cream?

    • the Muse

I don’t use setting powder much nene to be honest but when I do I prefer Raycious. I feel too made up if I use bb plus powder on top so I tend not to use it.

  • nayeli

would you know if this cream will blend into my nc35-40 skin? i have been reading about bb creams all over your site and would love to try one but since they are foundation im scared they wont look right on my olive skin. so far i have on tried the boscia one and i like it because like you mentioned it blends out good on my skin, but i would like to try an asian one because i hear they are better, which one would you recommend for my skin color? preferably one with good coverage, THANKS

    • Roya

This is probably a really late reply, but I have olive/slightly tanned skin and Missha’s M Perfect BB Cream in No. 27 works great for me!

  • Margaret

    muse,

where are you getting this bb cream now? i use to order it from sasa but they don’t stock it anymore. and the ebay ones seem like fakes -.-

    • the Muse

hi margaret I don’t think Innisfree makes this BB cream anymore. I’m on my last tube and asked a friend in Korea for it but she says shops don’t have it.

      • Genevieve Chuachiaco

        Hi Muse =)

When did your friend check? I visited Korea just last June and I saw this was still readily available.
Unless you’re friend checkeded just recently? (Like this week)
I’d be pretty devastated if Innisfree decided to discontinue this!

  • Sarah

Hello muse i’m really sore that i’m commenting in one of your old posts, but I want to ask something to you
From what I know, Innisfree has stopped producing this bb cream and replace it with a new one (which they say has the same effect and purpose (for oily, acne-prone skin)) with the name Jejubija Anti-Trouble Seed BB Cream

Have you tried it yet or meaning to? And what do you think about it?
Thankyou, and sorry for bothering you 🙂

    • the Muse

hi sarah sorry for the delay. Been a little swamped. I haven’t tried that one yet, so sorry!

  • Jane

I love this BB cream too!! I ‘save’ it just for under my eyes because it’s just brilliant in that area and I don’t want to run out, particularly now as I read above that it’s been discontinued. I’ve got a spare tube but still, wouldn’t want to be without it!

  • Paulina

    hi Muse,
thanks for the review now I’m ordering this BBC with confidence. I’ve tried BBCs by EH and Caring Colours (Indonesian brand) – all variant of them and all left me with awful breakout :'(
I’ve sworn never to let any BBC touch my face again.
But one of the girls in the workplace dons BBC very beautifully she has utterly flawless and dewy skin so out of envy I will break my vow, thanks to you! lol!
Hope this baby will be my BBC HG too. Pray for me! 😀

    • the Muse

I HOPE it works for you Paulina! Crossing my fingers 🙂 GOOD luck 🙂 keep me posted and let me know when you used it and how it works out!

  • Paulina

Hi Muse, I’m back. Sorry for taking so long, I’ve just received this BBC from my seller. It has new package, with no pump which you’ll love, yet all the traits from runniness to the shade still the same. On me it’s quite matte and sheer, while I like medium coverage better 😀
Despite my skin condition (oily, acne prone) I love my skin dewy, so I like my ol’ Etude House BBC’s finish (yeah, sometimes I use it again, lol).
BUT! there’s something all the girls with acne would love to know: if you want to wear make up which heals your acne, this BBC is a must! 😀

  • Shay

Hey Muse! I absolutely adore your BB cream reviews, and after reading all of them I decided to try and buy this one. but it seems I can’t find this anywhere (only innsifree anti-trouble bb cream which I don’t think is the same one). Could you please tell me a place that could have it in stock (maybe it’s discontinued??) or maybe recommend another? I’m a teenager with light-ish olive combination skin and the biggest thing I’m looking for is something that leaves me with a flawless, dewey looking, complexion that works as a concealer and foundation (so it covers my acne and blemishes) Thanks so much 🙂 LOVE YOUR BLOG <3

    • the Muse

hi shay I don’t believe they make it anymore. I haven’t seen it in a very long time. but innisfree makes a ton of other bb creams. just check the archives and you’ll find a ton of recs for bb creams. Thank you 🙂 <3!
