I did so promise you a full review of the bits and bobs I got in my Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Gift Bags didn’t I? If you missed the post you can see it here.
Today I’ll be showing you Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set! Too cutes and loving it so far with a hiccup or too here and there.

Read it by clicking ahead…!
Housed in a jumbo pink and white striped box the new Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set contains two tubes of gloss. Loving the packaging so much on these. From the cute box they come in all the way to the very cute squeeze tube glosses I’m not sure what I adore most about these. The packaging of the glosses do not have an applicator so it’s a matter of dabbing on with your fingers or a lip brush. Squeeze, apply, and you’re good to go.

The set includes Muffin Gloss which is a light pale pink shade and Cherry Meringue which is a glossy berry stain. Both taste very nice although I’m leaning more towards Cherry Meringue as a fav for both taste and color. Muffin Gloss doesn’t really taste very muffin-like but more lemony. I didn’t really like Muffin’s color as it’s a very pale, nude pink. These aren’t very glossy and they feel a tad silicon like when they are on so I’m unsure if I’m in love with the formula or not at this point. I do like the sheer hint of red that Cherry Meringue gives to my lips and the burst of fruity cherry! Nice!

Overall, I think they are too cute and but I may be super bias about the formula since I adore the packaging so much. For a quick swipe and go they make a fine gloss although for a more fancy look you might prefer going with a MAC Lipglass or something a bit more substantial.
Cutes but needs a little work!
I’m wearing Cherry in my FOTD today which you can see here.
Anyone try these?

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Ecstasy slipped by this Muse. I was blinded by the cosmetic glory of the Urban Decay Get Baked Eye Shadow Palette that I didn’t realize that Urban Decay had sneakily injected two brand new shadows to their catalog on the fly that are available exclusively at Sephora. But of course this is always something that gets me hyper, I mean seriously have you seen my Urban Decay Eye Shadow Collection? You haven’t? For shame!
Check it here.

In honor of my excitement about new shadow shades I’m all about Product Musing Urban Decay Ecstasy today!
Check it after the jump!
First off, Ecstasy is not Flash. Flash is a more true grape purple where as Ecstasy is more violet. But let’s keep it simple, if you love purple you’ll love Ecstasy. Particularly good news is the lack of shimmer, not good news for the Muse mind you but good news for anyone who doesn’t want a load of shimmer in their shadow. The formula is very smooth, shimmer-free, slightly semi-matte in feel but smooth and velvety. It blends incredibly well and gives your eyes a real knock out bunch of purple. It’s been a fair while since Urban Decay has added any shadows to their collection so I was quite excited to see a new shade. Minx is also a new shade which I’ll be musing for you tomorrow!

Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Ecstasy is available now exclusively at
Sephora. Check it out! Likey!

We all have favorite beauty bloggers don’t we? I know I do. Just because I write this strange and unusual blog doesn’t mean I’m not also as obsessed as many of you are about reading my favorite blogs!
A few weeks ago I showed you some great beauty brands (Missed the post? Click here!) that twitter and today I’ll show you some of my favorite beauty bloggers (and some of yours too I bet) who are twitting happily away!
Why follow your fav bloggers? It’s fun! You can talk to them, ask them questions, follow their daily posts as many of them have a Twitter feed that updates their daily posts, plus it’s a personal experience with the writer and editor. Reading posts is one thing but getting to know your favorite blogger and have one on one chats with them is a cool experience.
You can find my favorite beauty bloggers that I stalk on twitter below!
My mate Rows from Cosmetic Candy Twitters happily away with the masses.
If polish is your game check out the Muse’s bud, Michelle, from All Lacquered Up!
The Swatch queen of the Internet, Karla Sugar is a Twitter fan as well!
I dunno if you’d call Pink a beauty blogger but she occasionally throws in a beauty post or two in between posts of cussing like a pirate, her keen sense of fashion, and lots of food and still manages to stay slim and gorgeous! Follow this chica!
One of my fav bloggers and a real sweetie, Carla, from Product Girl is hanging out on Twitter.
Who doesn’t freaking love my mate E from Pursebuzz? She buzzes beauty and donuts on Twitter (if you follow her you’ll understand all about the donuts).
Erika from Makeup Bag (first beauty blog I ever really read) is on Twitter…if you’re lucky you can witness cool Janey pic posts on occasion (the Muse thinks Janey might need her own blog).
Christine aka Temptalia, Queen of all MAC is a Twitter, who doesn’t want to follow the Queen of MAC? Hasn’t MAC given this girl her own collection yet?!
Missy from In My Professional Opinion is a Makeup Artist and a Beauty Blogger, follow her up!
Jami from Bionic Beauty is a Twitter-a-Holic and geeky, must be why the Muse and her get on so well! Follow up with her! You’re liable to get plenty of hawt Rob Pattinson pictures in with yout beauty!
The Muse likes cookies, especially cute ones like Lilan from The Daily Cookie. The Cookie and the Muse go way back! Follow her!
Last but never least, the Muse’s little sis, Plue (she’s sick at the moment with the flu, wish her well!) is busying tweet, tweet, tweetin’ when she’s not sick that is!
As I said Twittering with your fav bloggers is a fun way to interact with them and get to know them on a more personal level. Some bloggers work from home and others work from work so we are all on at some point during the day and willing to chat about makeup, the weather, or what we are doing!
Looking forward to seeing you on Twitter peeps!

Oh how terribly awesome is the Muse. Bringing you a review of the brand new Benefit Velvet Eye Shadows just in time for their 20% Off sale! I’m such a good mate aren’t I? You can proceed to tell me how wonderful I am in the comment box and send donations in honor of my awesomeness to my paypal account. Ok, ok I’ll take cookies at the very least. Deal?
Didn’t Benefit have eye shadows a little while ago? I can’t remember. I dunno why I forgot them. Were they forgettable? I remember Benefit having a line of shadows but nothing like these….hmmmm you can refresh my memory alone with those cookies while I give you the details on Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow.

I don’t normally go for velvet but I can get on board with these as the formula is so buttery smooth and easy to blend. I like to think of these as the dummies guide to eye shadow as they truly are goof proof. They glide on beautifully well and make shadow application a snap. Benefit Velvet Eye Shadows are brand new to the Benefit family and available in nine shades, no worries I’m sure Benefit will extend the color selection.
The formula is extra light which makes the shadows ideal for Summer. Who wants a load of eye makeup on when you can do a nice wash of color that’s soft, smooth, and light. With proper prepping they will remain fresh all day without creasing or fading away. Each shadow is very nicely pigmented for a good burst of color on lids. From what I’ve read so far people are really loving piling this on top of some Benefit Creaseless Shadow and rockin’ out. I haven’t tried that yet but they work just as wonderful on their own.

I tried out five shades which are as follows:
Like What You Sea?-Cloudy Sky Bluish Grey
Dandy Brandy-Brown with a tickle of gold
Where There’s Smoke-Pewter
Bikini Line-Buttery Yellow
Leggy-Icy Nude Pink

Out of the five I loved Dandy Brandy as it flattered my brown eyes! Bikini Line I’m favoring for Summer as it’s such a pretty soft yellow. I did several photos with the shadows on as you can see above, the only one I didn’t use was in a pic was Like What You Sea? I’ll do one shortly and update the post.
Overall, definitely a quality shadow in my opinion. Nice soft finish for both younger and older girls, very natural and fresh, easy application with little to no fall out, plenty of pigmentation, and the buttery smooth formula makes them very easy to apply. Likey! If you’re a lover of velvets I imagine you’ll fall in love with Benefit Velvet Eye Shadow.
These are available now at www.benefitcosmetics.com
And don’t forget 20% Off coupon code hiding out in this post!
Anyone try these yet?

Technically speaking it’s still Spring right? Just be quiet and pretend it’s Spring for a little while so I can show you the Isadora Blooming Spring Palette. Shhh no one will know it’s almost Summer. Close your eyes, think of a cool brisk breeze, the scent of tulips in the air…are in your special Spring place now?

Good!
Let’s go to the review!
Ok, so no matter what one thing that IsaDora never fails out is giving me bang for my buck. Beautiful palette, $19 bucks? I can go for that.
The IsaDora Blooming Spring Palette contains five beautiful shades for that perfect Spring eye look, shhh you’re in your Spring place now no thinking about bronzers! No but seriously you can easily get away with using the palette year round as it has some great shadows. Peach, Pink Purple, Green, and Brown make up the palette shades. These can be combined or used separately to create various looks. The colors are all quite pigmented and blend very well however they do have a tad bit of a chalky formula. In my experience with IsaDora palettes so far I noticed they sport a very similar formula and texture to that of most Japanese eye palettes, it’s that creamy powder formula that’s almost chalky in texture. This isn’t a bad thing but if you aren’t a lover of such a formula you might not like working with these. The shadows are very nice, pigmented, buttery smooth, and they blend quite well it’s just that strange chalky texture that could sway some. Personally I like the way they apply and think they create some seriously lovely looks.

The only rant I have about the IsaDora Blooming Spring Palette is the fact that it was a simple black compact. Most of their special releases have a different compact design but this is simply the standard black casing. Meh a tad disappointing for a packaging junkie like myself but nothing to get to upset over.
All in all, for the price the quality is there and it’s worth picking up if you’re an IsaDora fan. I think it’s also worth trying out if you’re new to the line.

Few small notes…..
Cosmetic Mall used to sell IsaDora but now it gives a strange buy two option. This is news to me until a few readers mentioned it. So basically they want you to purchase two of every product. What?! Not cool. So….you can either get a friend and order together or you can order through the IsaDora Amazon Store. As your last option you can check on Evil-bay although I suggest heading to the Amazon Store to score the palette and other items from IsaDora at retail price.
Here’s a few looks I did with the palette:
Using Pink:

Using Peach:

Using Green and Brown:

Anyone an IsaDora fan?
