Clarins Concealer Stick Review and Swatches

The Muse missed the boat on the Bobbi Brown Face Touch Up Stick. I dunno I was kinda on the fence about a stick concealer so I didn’t bother indulging. I guess stick foundations kinda remind me of those old school lipstick style concealers with the hard texture and awful formula that makes blending into the art of scrubbing really hard. Applying concealer should not involve scrubbing to the point you’re yelling “out, out damn spot!”. You so know what I mean right? Lord knows they even still sell these lethal concealer lipstick thingys at your local drugstore. In my humblest they should be outlawed.

Yes, so that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

However, Clarins Concealer Stick popped around for a visit today and I immediately raced to my mirror to try it out. I should have been feeling skeptical about it like most stick foundation but in my excitement I completely forget my unforgiving nature in regards to stick concealers.

Thank god I did as it’s special.

Jump for it.

What your world needs now is a little Clarins Concealer Stick in it. This a great little concealer that does a rather fab job of concealing dark circles and minimizing shadowy areas on your face plus if you have a zit on your chin it can instantly make that disappear too.

My woes with stick concealer mostly stem from crummy, hard textured formulas but this sports no such thing. The formula is creamy, pigmented, and hydrating enough for my dry under eye area. It’s formulated with Vitamins A and E for a soft, gentle application under the delicate eye area. It’s pigmented enough to conceal your woes with a quick glide and pat. It doesn’t crease or cake under my eyes and creates a nice, smooth finish with fine pearl pigments that boost the reflection of light to help minimize nasty dark circles.

The best thing about it?

Portability baby.

Love, love that it has an incredible formula that I can tote around easily with me. It wears quite long but if I need a touch up I can easily whip it out and smooth on. I can’t do that with any of my other concealers. Liquids are too messy to carry around and apply and creams are equally difficult to apply for a touch up through the day. This is the perfect solution as it’s a mere twist up like a lipstick and just smooth on. Instant, awake, refreshed looking Muse.

It’s downfall?

Possible downfall is the lack of shades as it only comes in three shades. This isn’t a problem for me as I’m almost always the lightest shade in all concealers however those with a deeper tone may have a problem finding the perfect match.

Aside from that it’s perfection for me. Loves it! Priced at $25 is well worthy of your buck. Muse Approved for purchase.

The perfect treat for making me look fresh and awake all day, every day.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
