The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Review

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover 1

You know your Muse she’s every always searching out the next best thing. This week I’ve been mucking about with The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. I’ve ever always looking for an inexpensive way to remove my eye makeup. Something that works really well at removing everything and anything.

So far I have a few great removers in my arsenal but I’m always on the prowl for something new.

That’s where The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover comes into play.

Jump for it.

This one takes care of the cheap as it’s $14.50 for over an 8 oz bottle, likey! It also works pretty fantastic on removing heavy eye makeup, so far so good.

The formula is a very gentle remover. It’s a watery texture that’s slightly sudsy. The benefits of use are no foggy vision after use and no stinging or burning. It’s quite cooling, very refreshing, and quite gentle to my eyes.

Now removal is surprising as it does a fine job of removing my heavier eye makeup. I’m surprised as normally a formula such as this would have a bit of a difficult time getting it all off but it performs fairly well at removing everything. I struggled a little bit with waterproof mascara but whatever I didn’t get off ended up coming off with my oil cleanser so I’m not complaining.

It’s large size and small price tag appeals to me and I’m definitely leaning towards a repurchase once I’m done with this. It performed very well but just needed a little work in the waterproof department.

Anyone use this?

Loves it?

Leaves it?

I remember trying this one out. I didn’t like it, but I’m glad you do! It just didn’t feel like it was getting everything off for me, even though I usually wear light makeup.

      hey kaoru

Was kinda surprised I did. I expected it not to work as normally makeup removers that look like water simply don’t cut it for me But it worked well but not so fab on WP mascara….it left a fair bit behind but I didn’t mind as I use oil cleanser anyway 😀

For the price tag it’s kinda a win for me.

Oh, I have been looking at this product for ages! Like you, I am always finding the next best thing. 🙂 OK, I will jump for it when there is a TBS sale. I am cheap that way!

    Love you!

me too jojoba all about saving $ lately 😀 love you back! *hugs* it’s good for minimal makeup days!

Hello Muse! I do not use waterporoof make up, so this remover’s in my regular rotation. Right now I am using CVS brand, and I like that one alot, as well. This is great because of an absolute lack of greasy residue.

awesome Dorothy. I’m using it during minimal days 😀 hm never tried the CVS one, always looking out for something new I’ll have to test!

This one’s such an oldie but goodie. I used to use this years ago (and like you have since moved onto oil cleansers) and was pleased to see it’s still around. The Body Shop regularly culls its much loved classics from their line-up but this one’s obviously worth its weight in both value for money and sales! I do remember it as being extremely gentle and soothing so it gets bonus points for acting as a treatment as well as

What I love this for, and why always keep a bottle on hand, is to tidy up any mistakes that happen during makeup application. The non-oily formula means it won’t smudge and dissolve makeup applied over it. I use a dual-phase at night to get everything off though – nothing beats those. =)

    • the Muse

oh great idea kahani! Me too on dual phase. This is great for my minimal makeup days!

    Hi Muse,
I love this product, it’s gentle on the eyes, doesn’t sting like some other removers I’ve tried and it’s definitely a repurchase. It’s great value for money as a bottle lasts for months. I’m glad you reviewed it.

    • the Muse

awww yay chica so glad you’re a lover too. for my lighter makeup days it’s pure perfection 😀

Oh wow, I’m so happy this works for you!! It doesn’t do that well for me, however… it’s alright for removing eyeshadows, but it needs so much work to remove my waterproof mascaras, and it’s actually quite drying on my eyes… it also stings… weird!! and somehow it gets a little soapy?? A “not so gentle” remover for me… sadly…
