Benefit Holiday Collection 2009: Benefit Powderazzi Review and Swatches

Have I shared my love enough when it comes to Benefit Powders? I own of ’em all except for 10….dunno why I never got that one hmmm must gets it.

Moral of the story is if you haven’t tried any Benefit Powders, for shame on you, you can indulge in the new Benefit Powderazzi that’s releasing with the Benefit Holiday 2009 Collection. It includes three of Benefit’s popular powders in one slick palette.

Benefit Powderazzi 2

Likey, alot.

Check it after the jump!

I was doing a little math, yes I can add and subtract too, aren’t I amazing? I was doing a little math and trying to figure out how much cash I’d save by indulging in Benefit Powderazzi….you know me always up for a deal.

Benefit Powders are 0.40oz in size and $28 bucks each. Now…Benefit Powderazzi contains three powders and is $30 and 0.1oz in size. Hmm obviously indulging in one full size is the best deal. But dude…hello? No variety if you purchase only one! This contains Coralista (my flavorite), Hoola, and Dallas in one palette…oh how I loves it. Honestly, I wish Benefit would do one big palette with all of their powders. How cool would that be?

Benefit Powderazzi 4

If you haven’t yet tried any of the above it’s a killer deal as the variety alone is worthy of the price in my humblest. I rather like the idea of buying one product and getting three shades rather than one product with one shade. Get my mentality here?

The palette is made of a sturdy cardboard and features a glam quilted print. It has a mini brush for application as well. It’s fairly mess-free in my humblest as a quick swipe of the brush on each shade will pick up plenty of color without kicking up too much powder and even if you do have a little dust up you can easily shake it loose or leave it for your next round. As I said above Coralista is one of my fav shades in the box as it’s a gorgeous peach, coral color. Dallas vies for a close second on my list as it’s one of the few bronze shades that’s completely flattering on most skin tones with it’s sunkissed dusky rose shade. And finally Hoola is a universal shade of the sun to create a golden hue to skin.

Benefit Powderazzi 5

Benefit Powder Pop had my attention a few seasons ago and Benefit Powderazzi is no different. The cuteness of the palette, variety of product inside, and great gift giving option makes it a no brainer. Loving it. Total score as far as this Muse is concerned.

Benefit Powderazzi will be available in November exclusively from Ulta.

Is it on your wish list?

  • jojoba (My Makeup Reviews)

i was reluctant to open your blog as BeneFit has some stuff that I really like especially its powders and lipsticks. But I did it anyway.

I was so relieved that I saw 3 colours that I am familiar with and 2 of them I can’t use. LOL. And I do have that Coralista (which is a LOVE by the way.)

I guess this palette will be great for those with darker skin tones and want to try out BeneFit powders .

Thanks for the review and swatches!

    • the Muse

lol jojoba I hear ya hun! YAYAYAYA Coralista rocks it right?! Def good for darker tones but don’t misjudge Dallas it’s pretty universal imho! 😀

      My pleasure hun!

  • Fresco Phyrra

    This looks really cute!
It would be interesting if they’d do a blush, contour, highlighter package like this.

    • the Muse

agreed dd 😀 but I stink at contouring and highlighting normally my version of highlighting ends up all over my face ha!

  • Janice

wow… new thing! @@” I have the powder pop and it’s still untouch… just swatched once for review… hahaha!!!!

  • jackieg02

Yep, want. I’ve never tried any of the Benefit boxed powders, so I think this is a good one.

BTW, do you recommend any undereye concealers from Benefit?

    • the Muse

hey jackie! 🙂 def a good place to start.

Actually no! GASP! The only one I use religiously is Lemon Aid but that’s an above the eye concealer….I haven’t tried the others…I should really get some to test out!

  • Jin

oh … I was planning to get the Philosophy blush you reviewed here, until I saw this! this feels like a better deal – more colors, but less product XD

    • the Muse

hey Jin! I love me some variety 😀 this is quite cute and you get three shades, sweetness!

    Hi!

Right now (if it’s still ongoing) Benefit is offering free international shipping to orders $115 and above, which makes it very tempting to haul, BUT…

But. But, as a young child *couch* my first real haul (meaning grabbing many items) was from Benefit after being wooed by the amazing pictures and descriptions and ending up COMPLETELY HEARTBROKEN. This is sad but true. Happened not only once – somehow got duped into buying some more during a foreign trip, and once again on another…

Items I felt I paid 100% too much for:
    Dr. Feelgood’s Lipscription
chalk-dupe eyeshadow called Marry Me Please (I think)
    Ooh La Lift
Benetint (I still used it but it kept making my lips peel)

    The really bad, heartbreaking stuff:
    Lip Plump
Not On My Pillow, which what the heck can’t be used on eyes?!?!
Silky Finish Lipstick in Frenched – sheer cream uneven finish, most unflattering red
High Beam, which created uneven patches on my foundation

AND THE WORSE PRODUCT I GOT:
Dr. Feel Good, SCAM SCAM SCAM

Everything else I got, I don’t remember, they were unremarkable items. Only liked maybe two things ever, one of them the discontinued I Think I Love You lipstick. And everything was so overpriced, I was really scammed…

So there, sorry about the rant, but Benefit really caused me a lot of traumatic experiences! Even worse, I still go to their site and ogle their items and recently bought their cream shadows in two colors and hated both 🙁

  • Fresco Phyrra

    I’ve been practicing, so I don’t look like a complete glitterbomb 😛
    But I love sparkly!

      • Fresco Phyrra

Have you tried a big fluffy fiber optic face brush? That has helped me tone it down a bit. One time, apparently, I came out with stripes:
        highlighter shimmery stripe
        pink blush stripe
        dark flesh contour stripe

D said I looked like a tiger woman!

        • the Muse

oh yes dd that’s a life saver hun!!!!!!

LOL 😀 I normally get a slew of bad comments about how glittery I look but meh what can you do. The flash from the camera doesn’t help either 😛

  • Elaina

I saw this at Harrod’s recently, but didn’t get it b/c it was an old clearanced item (even though the price was amazing!! Under 10 pounds!!) I’m so happy they’ve brought it back — and not just as a “Made-for-Harrod’s” special!!! Yey!!!

    • the Muse

oooo awesome Elaina probably that was the old pop palette! This is a newbie 😀 I like having all the powders in one spot! 😀

  • Marie

In your post you said this was exclusively at Ulta, but I did see it at my local Sephora, so maybe it is in some of the stores.

    • the Muse

interesting marie thanks for the heads up. my press release says exclusively at ulta. Are you sure it wasn’t the benefit pop palette? Curious if my Sehora will get it 😀

  • Robyn

i would only use coralista so obviously not on my wishlist i would still probz rather have them singly tho as its the better deal
i am a better deal kinda girl (scottish its in my blood lol)

odd the only one i have is 10 and its the only one you havent got i liked it at first now its somewhere in the back of my makeup drawer dont know what happened we just fell outta love

    • the Muse

LOL Robyn I understand For me I’d def rather have more too but I also like the idea of being able to have three colors 😀

I always wanted to haul 10 but it kept passing me by! I think the frosty finish scared me a little 😀

  • donna

stumbled upon your site when i was looking for this product’s swatches, and i’m easily “poisoned”!! just wondering if the size of the palette is similar to nars blush..as i dont have any benefit powder so i cannot think of any product that i have, other than nars that i can make a comparison with this palette.

many thanks in advance and greetings from jakarta indonesia 🙂

    • the Muse

hi donna…the single powder sizes or the entire palette size hun?

      greetings back from NY 😀

    • the Muse

hi donna. It’s about the size (not size as in the powder inside just the palette) of two nars blushes together if that makes sense. Or about the size of a regular benefit powder, a little larger 😀

  • donna

quite big for the price! i’m sooo gonna get it. too bad i have to wait approx 1 month for it to arrive to jakarta, can hardly wait :(.. niway, many thanks gorg 🙂

    • the Muse

aw my pleasure donna 😀 it’s good variety 😀 and the colors are super!

  • Cynthia

Hi there, just wanted to know if the qualities of powderazzi is different compared to the full sized coralista, hoola and dallas?

because i think i bought a fake powderazzi at $19.90 from ebay.

the powders are very chalky and there’s no ingredient list when i peel off the sticker at the back..

    please advice~
    Thanks

    • the Muse

cynthia same quality just smaller sizes. hope this helps

  • Tiff

I just have a question: I just purchased this on ebay and I think I might have been faked! When you purchased yours, was any part of it sealed? Like the brush? (I know it may have been a long time ago so you don’t remember). And on the back there’s a sticker that says “peel here” – does yours peel? I’m trying to figure out if I have been faked on ebay. Thanks for your help!

    • the Muse

I don’t remember Tiff sorry. I’m not sure if has a peel here sticker as I don’t have on my person at the moment but most products have the “peel here” sticker and underneath ingredients are normally listed.
