Cle de Peau Beaute Holiday Palette Vintage Review and Swatches

Ahhh today feels like a good day to enjoy some beautiful eye candy and let me tell you nothing is more beautiful for brightening my day up than the brand new Cle de Peau Beaute Holiday Palette Vintage.

Check it after the jump.

Ok, so you have to get over the price tag to appreciate this gorgeous palette. It’s a $125 but I’m disregarding that and enjoying the warm, delightful glow that comes with owning a beautiful, shimmering face powder. You know the Muse and her little, very tiny, kind of small obsession with pretty face powders.

Clé de Peau Beauté Holiday Palette Vintage is a timeless piece of cosmetic that’s pretty yet practical. Although at first glance the shimmer could turn a few folks off, have no fear it’s a fine over spray that quickly swipes off to reveal a silky smooth powder. The powder is made up of a dominant shade of creamy nude peach and smaller accents of pale pink and bronze. It can be used on ether face, cheeks, or dusted on shoulders and chest to highlight with a golden luminous finish. As I mentioned above the finish isn’t a shimmer nor is it frosty it’s simply a luminous golden sheen to skin.

The powder is housed in gold, diamond-cut compact which has a certain vintage inspiration behind it. In fact the piece is inspired by the allure of vintage jewelry and creator, Lucia Pieroni, designed the powder.

The powder itself applies effortlessly with the included brush housed below the powder. Although beautiful in both design and formula, it’s quite a practical piece of cosmetic as it does blend with little effort and creates a subtle glow to cheeks and face. But even the Muse admits that her obsession with elegant powders tends to make her want to hide them away in her beauty vault and never use them, only ever taking them out on occasion to look at and whisper how beautiful they are. Indeed, it was difficult just swatching the powder for today’s review but I figure you only live once so indeed I swatched and even wore the powder today. Such a little dare devil aren’t I?

Although the price could prevent some from indulging it’s a worthwhile investment if you love quality, posher brands of makeup. Collectors and new users alike with flock towards the beauty of the design and pretty powder housed inside.

As for the Muse, she can’t help but love it.

Cle de Peau Beaute Holiday Palette Vintage will be available in November from Bergdorf Goodman and select Barney’s, Neiman Marcus, and Saks nationwide. If you are wanting it I highly suggest calling your counter now as I imagine they may already have it plus it’s bound to sell out quickly.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have heard of this line and I glanced at the counter at the new and only Barney’s in Scottsdale and wasn’t too interested in stopping but wowee I want it. I have many pretty powders but that one looks so usable. I think I might reduce my Sephora haul to make room for it and the famous concealer.

I have been looking for a product that gives me a nice glow without so much shimmer and especially glitter! would you say this does well and does the glow last??

      Hi Nicci.

Not so much a warm glow but more a highlight on cheeks and face.
