IsaDora Bohemian Rhapsody Review and Swatches
Oooooo chicas let me tell you. It’s icy cold outside. It’s been a weird few days in my little city as the weather is more Winter than Fall. But we had a few warm Fall days around these parts and lord knows it’s my very fav time of the year.
I’m celebrating Fall with Isadora Bohemian Rhapsody today. It’s a rather fab little collection that’s inexpensive and quite sitting with the season plus it carries the name of my very favorite song from Queen what more could a girl want? Did I ever tell you about my Freddy Mercury obsession? Wait…maybe we’ll skip that chat otherwise we’ll never get to the review.
What was I saying? Oh yes the IsaDora Bohemian Rhapsody Collection!
Check it after the jump!
I love this collection. Love it, love it, love it. Could be because I’m such a lover of the Fall season but all the shades in this particular collection are just so very lovely and flattering on my brown eyes.
The key piece for me was the IsaDora Eye Palette in Bohemian Rhapsody. The palette contains an array of colors that creates this interesting fallen leaf look on you eyes. Seriously, it reminds me of the changing leaves. The small tutorial that IsaDora gave on it’s site was to use the green on the lid, contrasting in the crease with the chocolate brown, and using the bronze in the inner corner of the eye. This mimics a leafy look for me as it combines all the great elements of nature. The leaves changing from green, to a coppery orange, and finally to a dark brown. I’m so poetic about an eye palette aren’t I?
The palette is $19.50 and contains five shadows for one complete look. You can of course mix and match or wear alone as you see fix. The shades are all pigmented and blend quite nicely although I’ve noticed that most IsaDora Eye Palettes tend to end up a bit muddy when colors are used together just be careful and gentle when blending. Colors included are a deep chocolate brown, an olive green, a fiery orange bronze, cream, and a warmer golden bronze.
For my look below I used the deep chocolate in my crease, the olive green on my lid, the cream shade on my highbrow, the fiery orange bronze in the inner corner and blended a little into the inner rim, and the warmer golden bronze to line my lower lashes.
My second favorite items are the lipstick and gloss shades released with the collection. I’m wearing IsaDora Chrome Lip Polish in Candied Apple on my lips in the photos above. This is a warm metallic red with a heavy base of brown. The pigmentation is incredible on this but I’m not a fan of the texture and feel of lip polishes as I find them difficult to apply with out getting them all over my mouth. I saved face with Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion, thank god for that stuff.
Two other great finds with the collection are IsaDora Perfect Moisture Lipstick in Russet and IsaDora Mega Wet Gloss Sheer in Choco Glaze. Russet is a rusty orange with hints of brown, orange, and red while Choco Glaze is a brown chocolate shade with hints of golden shimmer. Both products are heavily pigmented with very nice formulas.
Overall, the collection is incredibly affordable and creates a warm, rich look for Fall. I’m quite pleased with all the pieces and Muse Approve ‘em for purchase. One thing I do love the most about IsaDora is the fact it combines great quality with such a small price tag.
There was some discussion about where to purchase IsaDora and I found it was best to visit Cosmetic Mall but since that time it seems you have to purchase two or more pieces to order. Rather than go through the hassle you can purchase from from Cosmetic Mall but via Amazon. The entire Fall Collection is available and it ships in a matter of a few days.
All in all IsaDora Bohemian Rhapsody was a winner for me. Loves it!

OOOh I also love Freddie <3 I only read the review because of the title actually, since the brand is unknown here XD The palette is gorgeous though!
hi Ines!
me too
I’m obsessed with all things Queen! It’s a really pretty Fall palette
I’ve seen a few on E-bay maybe you can snag it there.
Oh dear, you always manage to make me wish I had more money to spend XD Maybe I’ll get lucky for my birthday :p Thanks for the tip!
my pleasure Ines! Happy early bday
here’s to hoping you get lots of makeup for your bday
Thank you!
it’s not that early actually, 3h30 hours to go here
I think my sister is going to get me a makeup lesson somewhere… Or so I overheard LOL Hopefully I’ll get some extra money from uncles to get the palette, so you can ask for a comission
omg than happy bday
!!!!!!!!! that’ll be fun! enjoy!!!!!!
LOL! hehe naaa I won’t ask for commission maybe an FOTD pic!??!
Ok, FOTD it shall be, although I’m no expert with eyeshadow
I’ll save the search on eBay, so as soon as someone puts it put for sale I’ll be able to check it out (and ultimately fail to resist to my growing desire for it
)
dude me neither. I suck at application
Hehehe good luck babe ;-D it’s a great palette!
Oh, but you manage to always look great! Every time I try to use blue eyeshadow for example I look like I was punched XD I think you and I have a fairly similar skin tone and eye color, but still I can’t pull it off like you do! I do better with browns though, so I have faith lol
Ok, I’ll stop flooding you with comments :p
you are way too kind
Hehe I wing it all the way. I def have not perfected god shadow application skills
Try sponge applicators I swear those are the key
!!!!! I should probably not go around with crazy shades the way I do but I can’t resist.
Oh flood away
I’m a listenin ‘! Hugs!
I only say the truth, my dear
Wow, I had never thought of applying it with a sponge! Like the foundation sponges, or are there specific sponges for small areas? I’m so going to try it tomorrow, I’ll be using the golds/browns from Estée Lauder Sea and Sand palette, which I bought on sale after lemming it for months after reading your review btw XD
I often find that the color doesn’t look so intense even if I start layering it like mad, maybe it’s my n00b skills that are ruining it? My area of expertise is nail polish really LOL
Hugs for you too <3
hey ines!
awww *hugs* I heart you!
No no, sponge tip applicators like the eye shadow ones that come with the palettes. It’s good for packing color on and blending out with a good blending brush
oooo I lov that palette! Which reminds me I should haul it out for Fall!!!!!!!
Trying packing color on with the sponge and use other brushes to blend
that’s what I do! Oh I stink at nails lol we’ll teach other
And to think it all started with Freddie Mercury LOL
hehe love me some freddy!
Oh those! I feel stupid right now XD I’ll do that, I have some around here!
The good thing about that palette is that the golds work great for fall, imo! I’m so glad I spent those 37€ XD
Yes!! I shall teach you about the Chanel nail polish religion and others XD
awww no worries you aren’t Ines ;-D hehe!
hells yes or just for an elegant everday look! oh lord I dunno if I can be tempted to that dark side but you can try hunny!
