Hauled It: Bath and Body Works Lambie Slippers 2009
The Muse does so wish she can say that Bath and Body Works Lambie Slippers are going to sell out like no tomorrow. But ado…with the economy as is I do so notice more and more things are shelf sitters lately. Where as a two years ago you’d have to struggle to locate a pair of Lambies, you can now get tons of ’em. I do suggest snagging them early though just in case my predictions of a rather dull Holiday shopping season are wrong.
Jump ahead to hear my thoughts on the new Lambie Slippers.
As I mentioned when I first seen these, I did indeed haul three pairs with a 20% off coupon I had hanging around. I was quite excited about this revision of the Lambie Slipper.
If you’re a fan you know that the Lambie Slipper has regenerated numerous times over the course of several years (they are catching up with the good Doctor when it comes to changing appearances from year to year). First year we had a Lambie Slipper, second year we had a full Lambie Slipper that housed the entire foot for a warm snugly fit, last year we even had Lambie Socks, and now we have a Lambie Ballerina Slipper.
Actually, this is my least favorite Lambie Slipper to date as they aren’t as comfortable as previous slippers. These are extremely adorable and very warm and soft. The inside has a thick layer of shearling for extra warmth and to cushion feet. I absolutely adored them appearance wise and thought they made my feet feel heavenly.
However, I did feel the fit was a bit off. The slipper fits much like a ped would. Peds being those little slip on nylons you use to try on new shows. Know what I mean? The slippers kind of feel like they are going to pop off your foot at any moment. Your toes feel somewhat crunched into the very small space of the slipper. Now my feet are pretty small at a size 7 (37) so you’d think they’d off a comfortable fit but nay not the case. These come in three size selections which are 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. I got the 7-8 and still felt they fit kinda snug but if I went with a 9-10 they would surely swim on my feet.
Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and think they are darling little slippers but the fit could have been a bit better. Just seems they were designed a bit poorly.
Anyone haul them yet?
