Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Memento Mori

Ahhh the joys of Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palettes. They just keep getting better and better and better.

This Spring Kat takes it to the next level with a little something that’s fresher, bit more innocent, and…virginal?

Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Memento Mori is a palette of eyeshadow shades that represents the famous Day of the Dead skulls.

Shadows included are:
Cream Eyeshadow in True
Powder Eyeshadows in Solitude, Meditation, Agatha Pink, Sugar Skull, Peggy, Hard Luck, and Tijuana

I’m gonna say it’s the most gorgeous Kat Von D True Romance Palette to date and I wants it now please.

Available shortly from Sephora for $34. While you’re busy awaiting it’s release check out my Kat Von D True Romance stash!

Whatcha think?

Loves it?

Leaves it?

You tell me.

My goodness, that is rather lovely! All shades I’d use on a regular basis too – why oh why did Sephora have to pull out of the UK?

I’ve got a friend over in Alabama who I’m trying to convince to send me bits – but he’s none too pleased at being asked to go makeup shopping! Good thing he can always be bribed with classic ‘Who DVDs =P

I’m not a huge Kat Von D fan, but I do want this. Anything Day of the Dead inspired, I will buy. Love it. Probably will sell out once I get the money. Le sigh.

ya know, ive always thought the Kat Von D palettes were always prettier, and way better than they needed to be (i dint have high hopes becouse hey, it a celebrity makeup line, how good can that be?).

But this palette brings it to a whole new level! The colors look fab and im a sucker for white packaging, or really any pachaging that isnt plain old black at this point.

Day of the Dead?

Memento Mori means “Remember you will die” (Snicket fan :P )

I really don’t see how the two connect, aside from being skulls and stuff.

shrug not sure amy :) I guess dead, dying, etc…is how they have associated this :)

Why is it at the end of a season I always tell myself I’m not going to want anything for awhile? Then they come up with something that’s so hard to resist, like this!

Wow, that is so lovely. I really want to get this palette. Maybe it will be a nice way to keep myself from spending fifty on the Alice in Wonderland one, as these look like colors I would wear all the time!

Reply

the Muse January 20, 2010 at 4:01 pm

hey mollie me too! :-D the colors look quite nice and different for Kat as they normally do really dark stuff with her line!

I got this today. It is beautiful! The shadows have an almost creamy consistency and have wonderful dimension to them. There were a couple of less than stellar reviews on MUA but I totally disagree with the reviewers. This palette has beautiful colors, blends well and makes some stunning looks.
