Clarins Instant Sun Light Eye Quartet Palette was introduced as part of the Clarins Summer Collection and includes four shadows and one liner!
I’m always quite excited about Clarins special releases particularly Summer and Holiday. They make some of the greatest palettes which are not only luxe in appearance but quality as well.
Clarins Instant Sun Light Eye Quartet Palette comes housed in a silver slim line palette. It’s one of Clarins best designs to date since the palette resists fingermarks. Most Clarins palettes and packaging in general come in mirror cases which smear up real quick but this seems to resist fingerprints well due to its foggy finish.
The palette is made up four shades of warm shadows and one liner plus two applicators for application. As mentioned above these shades can easily work well into Fall as well as Summer. Shades include cream, bronze-y brown, matte brown, golden peach, and a brown liner shade. The palette has a gorgeous golden flower design which sadly is an overspray and quickly wears away with a single swatch. Formula wise the shades are richly pigmented with a velvet formula sans shimmer or sparkle. They work beautifully together for a contrasting eye look or one at a time for several looks. Although limited in colors you can still create several different looks using the palette as each of the shades contrasts so well together.
The overall look is a very warm look that’s ideal for the beach or an evening out. The palette is quite work friendly in my opinion for a more professional look as well.
I’m not keen on the liner shade as the texture is heavy enough to get an even line at first swatch so you do have to go back and go over the line two or three times.
- Those who enjoy Clarins palettes (collectors and fans of the brand will enjoy this to the max!).
- Anyone seeking a warmer look for Summer that will work well into Fall!
- Anyone who has brown eyes and likes the way warmer shades of brown and bronze looks on their eyes.
- Anyone who wants shades that contrast well together!
- Anyone not interested in splurging $36 on a palette!
Overall, Clarins Instant Sun Light Eye Quartet was definitely a gorgeous palette. Although its price tag is a tad on the luxe side for a palette of its size, I still think it’s an elegant piece of makeup that’s not only beautiful but very practical as well for creating sophisticated, pretty looks.
