Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick Avon Healthy Makeup Lip Conditioner Review and Swatches

Hey kids.

You’re getting two reviews for the price of one today.

I rounded up both the Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick and the new Avon Healthy Makeup Lip Conditioner and had a little play with them this week and yesterday morning and I have to say at this price, they are so worth a haul. $4.99 for a color rich lipstick with an awesome formula?

Hells yes!

Check it!

Lipsticks with a new formula infused with triple Vitamin & Antioxidant Complex enriched with pomegranate and olive leaf for a moisturizing, hydrating finish!

Ok, first off, let’s have a look at the Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick. Avon says they are medium coverage lipsticks but I personally call ’em all hecka pigmented. These are full coverage lipstick at its best. Snobby makeup users try to keep your nose out of the air and check these out because if Avon does anything at all good, it would be lipstick.

These have a richly pigmented formula, a cheap as day old chips price tag (‘ello $4.99!), and a hydrating, moisturizing finish. I don’t like them nearly as much as my favorite Avon 24K formula however they are almost as great. They glide onto lips without a hiccup leaving behind a perfectly pigmented pout with a good hydrating formula that doesn’t dry my lips out, feather, or migrate around. A little gloss on top really makes them pop in my humblest.

I tried out two shades which were Rose Shine (deeper brownish rose) and Naturally Perfect (rich brown praline). Both shades are ideal for Fall looks and pair up beautifully with a smoky brown eye look. The shades just pop and give such a warm richness to lips. Like most Avon Lipsticks, I’m very pleased with the formula and great pigmentation. They also sport a SPF 15.

Avon Healthy Makeup Lip Conditioner is a lighter version of the lipstick. They dub it a more sheer coverage lipstick that’s formulated with collagen to help lips look softer and smoother. Personally I think they have excellent color pay off as well and do not act as any conditioner I’ve tried, it feels more like a lipstick to me. I tried Rose which comes across as a brighter rosy pink shade.

Where as the lipstick formula excelled I did feel the Lip Conditioner felt a bit waxy and heavier on my lips and not nearly as nice a quality.

Both products merely sport 10 (lipstick) and 5 (conditioner) shade selections. Since I love the lipstick so much I’d love a wider range of colors to choose from, 10 simply isn’t enough.

  • Anyone looking for a cheap lipstick that performs like a high end one.
  • Anyone looking for great Fall shades of lipstick that won’t break the bank.
  • Anyone who likes color rich lipsticks with affordable price tags.

  • Anyone seeking variety (10 shades is a bit limited but not bad either).
  • Anyone wanting a lip conditioner with a light, barely there formula (this felt waxy and heavier on my lips than the normal lipstick range).

If you’re indulging I give my Muse Approved on the Avon Healthy Makeup Lipstick. They have a quality formula that can’t be beat at $4.99 so if you’re on a budget do have a look. Those who’s taste runs to a bit more high end might want to check one out regardless, as the formula is quite incredible at under $5 bucks. I was less than thrilled on the Lip Conditioner sadly. The formula just wasn’t what I was expecting and it felt strange on my lips.

Healthy Makeup Lipstick are definitely Muse Approved!

Loves!

Available from Avon.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
