Stila Mandarin Mist Eau de Parfum Review

Question, what do you guys smell like right now? Just don’t say cheese or sweat, I’ll gag…! Ha!

No seriously what’s your scent of the moment? Right now I’m kinda sorta obsessed with Viva La Juicy Perfume. I stopped wearing it for a while but suddenly it became my fav go to in August.

I’m also obsessing over trying the new S by Shakira Perfume, AWOOOOOOOOOOO! I read a review and it was all about the rave, so yeah, I need to try some, stat.

Speaking of fragrances and such, remember Stila Creme Bouquet Perfume that stuff proves impossible to track down. I have a tiny spritz left and I’m savoring it. Stila needs to get on board with creating more fragrances. Hell am I old if I admit to remembering when it came out!?

Speaking of, I recently got my hands on Stila Mandarin Mist which never tempted me until it got marked down….

Jump!

Talk about Beauty Blast from the Past….Stila Mandarin Mist was released quite a few years ago but I recently located a bottle for $12.99 and decided now is a good a time as any to check it out and totally proves easy enough to track down if I want more, wish I could say the same for Creme Bouquet.

It’s basically a sweet citrus fragrance with notes of mimosa and yuzu fruit. It has a touch of floral something in the mix but not sure exactly what however it does lean towards being light and airy regardless of that that little pinch of floral. It comes across with a strong dominant burst of citrus but doesn’t have a tart edge as it has a lightly sweetened, sugary note that rounds out the citrus to a full bodied sweetness. Kinda reminds me of Japanese Cherry Blossom but with a kick of orange and sugar.

It’s a perfect scent for day time wear and works beautifully on a warm day since it comes across so incredibly light and feminine sans cloying, heavier notes. However, I was saddened that my skin pretty much sucked it in and the scent fails to linger or last for more than an hour. Kinda disappointing since the bottle is so small I can easily just sit and spritz myself through one a day at this rate…..

Aw well.

Anyone who enjoys lighter, fruitier blends will surely love it plus the price tag doesn’t hurt.

I got it from ACW for $12.99.

Worth a haul if you’re a Stila fan as the bottle is simply darling and the scent is special enough to warrant this price, however, I wouldn’t shell out anymore than $15 bucks for it due to the lenght of wear.

Anyone try it?

Loves?

Share it!

Or what are you wearin’ that’s special today?

i love citrusy scents, but lean more towards the lemony ones. everytime i try something with orange in it i feel like i smell like orange clean. i have a rollerball of theirs called jade blossom and i love that. they have creme boquet rollerballs on beautyticket.

Ooh, sounds like it smells divine! I love citrus scents.

Could the quick fading have anything to do with being an older bottle? I recently found in my stash an unopened YSL perfume that had gone bad :( Reminds me never to buy extras of perfume because I never finish the originals.

    Hi Muse,

I was thinking of purchasing from the ACW. Do you think their products are authentic? Why are they so cheap?

valentina I haven’t a clue how they sell items so cheap. I’m not affiliated with the company and can’t tell you if products are or aren’t authentic. sorry I can’t help :( perhaps e-mail them to verify information about their company?

Stila tweeted awhile back about Creme Bouquet maybe making a comeback. Sometime in winter or maybe next fall.
