Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek Duo Cheek Tint Hot Date Review, Swatches, Photos
I’m kicking myself today for not picking up ALL the shades of Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek. You see, I only make a pilgrimage to the evil empire (Walmart) a few times a year and in most cases its because 1. my sister drags me in (her being the Queen of old Wally World and all) or 2. I need to get my Hard Candy fix.
During my recent foray I ended up hauling one of the three shades of Hard Candy Hide & Glow because I was a little meh and worried it wouldn’t be so fabulous but now that I completely love it, I’m left to kick myself around because I really hate the idea of heading back to the evil empire to get the other two shades.
Sod’s law, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong in the case of great makeup.
Damnit.
Jump!
A dual end cheek tint.
Ok, let me just take my absolute frustration out on Hard Candy for a brief second. Why the hell is this called Hide & Glow!? At first I thought it meant that one end was a shimmering highlighter stick and the other a cheek tint but ummm hello WTH? Both ends are a cheek tint.
So, what the heck is the Hide for? What I miss?
I don’t get it.
Aside from that this stuff is ace my friends at this price.
I got the duo Hot Date which includes a hot pink and a plum. The hot pink shade gives my cheeks a Benefit Posietint kinda look and the plummy shade gives my face a flushed, just in from the cold look.
Best part?
These wear extra long! The stick is a harder, gel textured blush which has a hydrating, non oily finish and it wears extremely well throughout the day. Simply swipe on, blend out with finger tips, and you’re golden.
No nonsense makeup at its best and gives a fresh, natural, healthy glow to cheeks.
Bad? Nothing bad about this aside from the dense name that is.
- Anyone who likes a fresh, natural look!
- Anyone who doesn’t want a ton of makeup on to head to the supermarket or to run errands but who doesn’t want to go out completely makeup less (swipe and go, you’ll look gorgeous with a little blended on cheeks!)
- Anyone who’s looking for a gel based cheek tint that won’t set them back $20 or more dollars!
- Tarte Cheek Stain fans will adore this!
- Anyone who likes powder blushes.
At this price (six bucks!) you can’t not get all the shades of this great little stick. Don’t be a fool like me, grab ’em all! This is perfect, no nonsense makeup at its best. There are days I’m simply not up for the entire makeup regime and this is fab pairs up with a little concealer to hide the icky dark circles. Fresh, flawless, and took me all of a minute to do my makeup.
Loves it.
Great quality at this price and ingenious, although the name is just strange in my humblest.
