Well, it’s about that time now.
Time for Holiday Shopping! You may have already started, I know I have. Seriously, it’s been a great few weeks of sales and I couldn’t not take advantage while the getting was good but some folks may still be shopping, I know I am, where as others may not have started yet, you suck (I kid).
This is where I come in.
I’ll be doing daily posts on great gift options, ideas, stocking stuffers, steals, deals, coupon codes, and more to make your Holiday Shopping life all the more easier.
Jump ahead for a great idea for gifting to the beauty lover in your life.
Ok, so nothing like getting beauty for the Holidays right? I don’t actually give as much Beauty as I’d like to since many of my friends and family members aren’t as obsessed with the entire beauty world as I am.
However, I do have a friend or two who can definitely appreciate a fun beauty gift and this is a great idea for gifting to a best friend or someone close to you. I did this gift in 2008 for my best friend who lives abroad and she was absolutely delighted with it.
What is it?
A beauty tree! Not a Christmas Tree, a beauty one!
You can buy a mini Christmas Tree for as little as ten bucks in department stores such as Target or even online at Amazon. Most are pre-lit trees so they already include lights but you can get one without lights and add your own if you want.
This 24″ Tree from Amazon.com already has lights attached and will set you back $14.99 but you can definitely shop around for cheaper, more inexpensive options.
Now you need some ornaments….but not the traditional kind.
Shop around drugstores, online shops, or Etsy to discover some great “beauty” decorations to decorate your tree with. Yes, you’ll be hanging lip balm on that mini tree!
Here are some of my favs for “hanging” on your Beauty Tree!
- Burt’s Bees Lip Balm Tin Ornament $9.99
- Ulta 4 Pack Beauty Ornaments (Mini Eyeshadow Palette, Lipgloss Palette, and more!) $9.99
- Ulta Smoothie Ornament $6.99
If you wanna go a little cheaper you can make your own ornaments by indulging in inexpensive lipglosses, shower gels, etc…and tying ribbon around them for hanging.
Avon has some great budget Holiday picks that will hang wonderfully on your Beauty Tree!
- Avon Festive Favorites Lip Balm .99 Cents
If you wanna theme your Beauty Tree you can do that too! Stick to decorating with all Bath and Body goodies and cut out a star from a large loofah to top it off! Or do all lipglosses, lip balms, and lip products!
Creating the perfect Beauty Tree is simple, fun, and will be very appreciated by the person you gift it too. The ideas and possibilities for creating the tree are endless!
Have fun creating your Beauty Tree!
Helpful Hint: Some items are heavier which can make your mini tree a little top heavy. To be sure the items don’t fall off attach them with craft wire. This is a very thin, nearly invisible wire that can be purchased at craft stores which you can use to wrap around the items and attach them to the branches of the tree. If the tree is still a tad heavy you can can fill a burlap bag with stones or sand to use as a heavy base for your tree!
