Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Liner Waterproof Charcoal & Espresso Review, Swatches, Photos
Are you a bad girl or a goody two shoes?
Adam Ant made me WANT to be a goody two shoes, I had fantasies about how he would make me his bad girl.
Wow, retro 80’s moment. Sorry.
Well, speaking of being bad…Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof Liner has two new shades available for your purchasing pleasure.
Let’s check ’em out!
Waterproof eyeliner pencils from Benefit available in two new shades.
I actually have black in this formula but I think I failed to review it when I originally purchased it so now is a good a time as any to show you the new shades plus give you a review!
Espresso is a deep chocolate-y brown and my favorite of the two new shades where as Charcoal is a slate gray which is ideal for smoky looks.
Formula is a bit dense for a liner pencil so it isn’t as melty or creamy as some of my other pencils but I find the dense formula creates a solid, wider line with minimal tugging which is surprising since it lacks that creaminess that gives a good glide to liner pencils. I find the line this creates is wider than most of my other liners as the tip is a bit larger. They smudge fairly easily and include their own smudger tip on the opposite end of the pencil.
I’ve always loved black and felt it wore long on my waterline which is what I look for when purchasing an eyeliner as most don’t wear long on such a moist area. I experience no raccoon eyes, smudging, or smearing with these shades but these are normally never an issue for me anyway. I think the best part of the liner is how long and well it wears on my waterline. The black shade I already own and Espresso seem to go on beautifully well but I experienced a little tugging with Charcoal when applying to my waterline but nothing too dramatic.
These don’t come with a sharpener which surprised me!
- Anyone who wants an easy to smudge liner that wears long and strong.
- Anyone who likes Bad Gal Liner Waterproof and wanted some extra shades to choose from!
- Those who aren’t keen on a thicker liner (the pencil’s point is large so these create a thicker lined eye).
- Those who desire a creamy formula (these feel a bit harder and aren’t as creamy as liners I own and tried in the past).
Overall, Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Liner Waterproof is a decent liner. One of the better things about it is the long wear on my waterline and the formula which smudges really well and creates just the right amount of smokiness. I find some of my more creamier eyeliners don’t smudge nearly as well and leave behind a bit of a mess where as this seems to smudge out just right.
