Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub Review
As you know I quite loved Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser so I thought I might as well give the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub a run for it.
Let’s take a look!
A facial scrub that brightens skin and wakes you up in the morning!
I absolutely love this range however the scrub is so, so. I personally prefer the cleanser.
It’s supposed to visibly brighten skin and exfoliate with ingredients like caffeine, lemon, and papaya. It smells rather delicious and was one of the reasons I purchased the products. It has a sweet, semi-tart lemon-y papaya thing going on that’s really quite refreshing and particularly invigorating in the morning! The product gives skin a cooling tingle that really wakes things up. I’m not a morning person so that extra zing on my face in the AM definitely helps my eyes open up!
The formula is a thicker, jelly-like texture with tiny beads in the mix. Personally I need something a bit more grainy to really get to work on my drier, duller skin so this isn’t exactly doing the trick at exfoliating much and my skin doesn’t come out of the experience any smoother. It does have a nice glide, feels refreshing, and does the trick as a quick facial wash up in the morning in my shower but I feel like I couldn’t rely on it for really getting my skin soft and smooth thus it’s a purchase I probably won’t make again in the future, I’d rather stick to the cleanser.
I’m not a fond fan of the little beads in the product as I’m worried about getting them into my eye for some reason. I have a phobia of these beads, seriously lethal little buggers!
- Anyone wanting a lightweight scrub for skin that isn’t overly dry.
- Anyone looking for a scrub that will attack dry, flaky areas and keep them smooth.
- Those with sensitive skin (it does give a tingle so if your sensitive you might wanna do a spot check).
- Those sensitive to fragrance (this has a bright, sweet lemon-y scent that’s very pleasant but those who like unscented skincare might not love).
Although the cleanser proved a worthy purchase I personally didn’t feel the scrub did much for my skin aside from giving me a nice wake up call in the morning! This is too much of a lightweight exfoliator for my dry skin and I saw no difference after use which could prove good because at least I don’t come out of it drier than I already was at least right?
If you have oily skin or perhaps need lighter scrubbing action this MIGHT work but those with flaky areas or those looking to renew dull skin by exfoliation, well, Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub won’t be your bag.
I don’t believe there are any proven brightening ingredients in this mix but I always feel like after use my skin looks squeaky clean and less dull so that’s a plus!
Anyone try this or the cleanser?
