Soap Glory

Welcome back Soap & Glory!

Today Soap & Glory officially gave the word about their US retailer. As of August you’ll be able to get all your favorite Soap & Glory products from Sephora.com and starting in September all Sephora locations will have Soap & Glory in stock!

I’m so darn excited I might have wee’ed myself. You’ve no idea how much I’ve missed Soap & Glory.

Yay!

Welcome back guys! I’m looking forward to a nice long haul together.

As always, Soap & Glory products are available in the UK at Boots, online at ASOS.com, and of course, at Harvey Nics.

Thoughts?

Yay for Sephora?

Fasio Airy Shield UV Screen SPF 50+ Review

Fasio Airy Shield UV Screen SPF 50+ 001

I always get alot of questions about what my favorite SPF products are. I use several to be honest because, well, I like variety. I imagine it doesn’t do any favors for my skin but I do in fact use a few that I like and I switch on and off between them.

If I’m outside for longer periods of time one of favs would be Fasio Airy Shield UV Screen SPF 50+/PA+++. Fasio is a Japanese brand by Kose which is available within Japan and a few other Asian markets. I’m not really a huge fan of Fasio makeup as it’s always disappointing particularly the mascaras but I do enjoy this sunscreen.

Let’s take a look!

MAC Prep + Primer Transparent Finishing Powder Pressed Review

celebs white powder

I love seeing celeb photos with the old translucent white powder mistake captured in a photo. Reminds me they are humans just like the rest of us…only humans with makeup artists that have heavy hands.

As for me? I’ve done the overdone translucent powder trick myself a time or two or several times. But I still use it…!

Stuff is solid gold joy for creating a flawless finish on your skin and it’s particularly a fav of mine for brightening up under my eyes and setting my concealer for all day wear.

MAC Prep + Primer Transparent Finishing Powder is now pressed! Bless be!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee Review, Photos, Swatches

Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee 001

You know that one makeup item that you tell (or maybe your friends and family are daring enough to tell you) yourself you shouldn’t be wearing? For me it’s highlighter…I’ve actually come to terms with telling myself, “No, you can’t wear shimmery highlighter.”

Yay me! I’m so happy when I give myself a good talking to and I listen.

I can’t really take advantage of highlighters because I have a round face and wearing them just makes things look even rounder. Not a good look.

However, I collect ‘em like the crazy beauty junkie I am. I have zillions of pretty powders that I don’t really use because if you notice, most of ‘em, almost always, have shimmer.

Of course, Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelée pops up as part of their Fall 2011 Collection and my hands begin to sweat because I really need “da shimmery” powder.

Lucky enough I got one to show you today!

Givenchy Photo Perfexion Fluid Foundation SPF 20 PA+++

I can’t say I would mind dishing out near $50 bucks for Givenchy foundation. Hey, big spender….

But seriously, I think Givenchy has the potential to create something all kinds of amazing in a good base product and their new Photo Perfexion Fluid Foundation SPF 20 PA+++ sounds like such perfection to me.

Bath and Body Works Bat and Skull Pocketbac Holders Because Useless Shiz to Hold Other Shiz is Fun!

Bath and Body Works Halloween Collection 2011 Fall 2011

My inner eight year old demanded I indulge in the Bath and Body Works Bat ScentBug Home Fragrance Oil Fan last Halloween. Hey, it was either that or throw myself on the floor kicking and screaming about how “I WANT A SCENT BAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

You gotta give in a little sometimes people.

This year that same perpetual child is demanding I pick up the Bat and Skull Pocketbac Holders because at my age I honestly have no shame carrying around really cute crap that I don’t need.

geoGirl Kewl (cool) Magic Face Refresher Review

geoGirl Kewl cool Magic Face Refresher 004

Call me crazy, call me criminally insane…call me what you will but I am currently obsessed with geoGirl Kewl (cool) Magic Face Refresher. What is that so crazy?

Well, it’s kinda sorta a kiddie-tween makeup line.

Blush!

geoGirl is a new collection of cosmetics that has launched exclusively at Walmart to replace the old Mary Kate and Ashley Collection (Yes, I have Mary Kate and Ashley cosmetics laying around here, sue me, shiz happens when you’re obsessed with beauty!  CLICK!) and was developed to appeal to 8-12 year old girls. The collection features packaging that is recyclable and is a fully developed line of cosmetics that features over 60 products that will be paraben-free and have natural ingredients like chamomile, lavender, white willow bark and calendula as well as pomegranate and green tea extracts.

As for me, well, I’m not 12 anymore, maybe not physically of course, but mentally I’m right about that age-group. Tack on a few more years. But I’m still obsessed with their Magic Face Refresher, proof positive you don’t have to be 12 years old to enjoy geoGirl.

M·A·C is forever asking “Why not?” when it comes to the miracles of makeup – our medium for transformation – always exploring new ideas about the many ways we long to look and feel different for a day, a night, a lifetime. With the help of props, makeup, prosthetics, wigs and sets, artist Cindy Sherman embodies this Power of Transformation – from off-kilter Hitchcock heroine to fresh corpse, Caravaggio Portrait to Park Avenue Plastic Surgery Maven – all elaborate exercises in trying on different personas. We’re living in a time when people of all persuasions have become bolder than ever about the ways they choose to express themselves: with a colourful palette of possibilities, You are the Artist, You are your own Subject, and no matter how fearfully you begin, you become fearless in the process. We can’t wait to see what you (and the genius that is Cindy Sherman) do next!

Cindy Sherman for MAC is about the Powder of Transformation and honestly what better medium than makeup to transform us? Cindy Sherman for MAC brings us three different colour stories to create our personalities with.
