Review, Swatches, Photos: DuWop Angel Washes are Cool Now! Pirates are NOT!
I are has lol’s at DuWop for finally releasing their Isla Sirena Collection. Translation: I’m laughing my ass off that the Isla Sirena Collection finally launched.
Jebus Christo people. It’s July, Pirates released in May! Who’s your marketing executive? Fire them! I’m off my pirate kick people and I’m on to wizards and He Who Must Not Be Named. It’s JULY damnit! It’s Harry Potter time. Mermaid and Pirate time be so over dood!
I’m officially over this collection and I do solemnly swear I looked but did not buy a single piece. Proud of me much?
Although…I can’t promise I won’t indulge if some sale pops up!
But DuWop stays near and dear to my heart regardless of their little pirate-y mishap (yo ho ho no pirate’s life for you DuWop) and I’ve happily incorporated their Angel Washes into my Summer regime. I love these!
Check ’em!
A trio of gel washes with a sheer tint that can be used on lips, cheeks and eyes!
DuWop packages up their Angel Washes in a trio so you never have to choose between buying this color or that color! You get all three of ’em!
Yay!
Each wash is housed in a tiny little squeeze tube. The formula is a water based so they are refreshing, cool, and hydrating on skin.
What are they? What can you do with ’em?
They multitask for your eyes, lips, and cheeks and they can be used in a multitude of ways. Use ’em to highlight, use ’em as a base for eyeshadow, use them as an eyeshadow or all over color wash on lids, use them on lips or cheeks for a little hint of sparkling color, use ’em over a cheek stain or under a lip stain, use ’em mixed with moisturizer for a subtle glow….you get point eh? These little multitasking gems work in any number of ways!
The set includes:
- Petal Pink (coral-ish pink)
- Delicate Coral (fiery coral)
- Shimmering Bronze Gold (gold)
The colors are very subtly pigmented but they have enough color pay off to be noticeable. If you like to highlight certain areas of your face they are a snap to give a quickie glow as they blend out easily with little fuss. My favorite way to use them is to apply a light wash of cheek stain and top it with either Petal Pink or Delicate Coral to give my cheeks a hint of a sparkly glow and to deepen the color of the stain. I also like to use them as an eye gloss for a gentle wash of color!
The product offers any number of ways to incorporate them into everyday uses from dramatic looks to soft and subtle ones!
At $27 I do wince at the price tag. DuWop should consider knocking them down to $20 as that might prove a little more friendly at this size!
- Anyone who wants a multitasking, easy to travel with makeup product that offers endless possibilities and uses.
- Anyone looking for a delicate touch of color on cheek bones!
- Anyone who likes to highlight their face.
- Those who aren’t keen on pricey makeup in smaller sizes.
I LOVE these and and would definitely love to slap them with a Muse Approval for purchase but DuWop needs to second guess the price tag as that’s a bit too high for this size of product.
Having ranted the price I’ll rave about how fabulous they are as they offer endless options for incorporating into daily looks! I honestly reach for these quite alot as they multitask fabulously under or over makeup, on my face, my cheeks, my eyes, or my lips….It’s a fun product that gives the perfect finishing touch to makeup or as a quickie way to get a touch of color on cheeks, eyes, and lips!
Loves ’em!
Price, don’t love it….a little shave down here would be appreciated.
Anyone every try ’em?
