Harajuku Lovers Jingle G Review
Seeking a cute little something to hang from your best beauty mate’s tree this Holiday?
Might I suggest, what is rumored to be, the last of the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances, Jingle G!
Take a look, she’s a little too hard to resist.
Harajuku Lovers Jingle G is little G all decked out in her Holiday finery with a velvet red ribbon tie bow for hanging on the Beauty Tree.
Rumor has it that the Harajuku Lovers chapter is coming to a close. The bags and accessories are all on clearance at Nordie’s Rack and the fragrances have been trickling a little slower down the line (instead of all the girl’s getting a fragrance, lately it’s been G only), plus a mini collection has popped up at Target which could just spell the end of this kawaii collection.
Have no fear, I imagine Gwen has something new and equally exciting in the works…perhaps something new from the Lovers Collection or something completely original and fresh. Whatever the case may be I imagine it’ll be great!
Jingle G isn’t exactly what I expected for a festive Holiday blend but she’s rich, cozy, and oh so warm, which in turn makes her an ideal scent for snuggling by the fire with.
Unlike many of G’s past scents which favored fruity, sweet notes, Jingle G embraces fruity-oriental notes. To me this one has a heavier vanilla base and the floral notes are the most prominent with the fruits being delicate little wisps in the background. Honestly, my nose can’t pick any one note out since it gets a little complicated but hints of Jasmine, Gardenia, a rich, creamy base of vanilla as well as cedarwood are some of the more primary notes with a dry down of star fruit and more vanilla.
It isn’t exactly what I expected from the brand but it is pleasant if you enjoy warmer oriental blends. She has a fairly good throw and a nice linger as well!
On the downside Jingle G is only available in a smaller 0.33 oz and she’s an ickle costly at $25 for this size but hey, she makes a rather lovely little treat for decking out your tree as well as your pulse points!
