Jump!
Hey, don’t get me wrong Fresh Tinted Lip Balm is the brilliance but they are costly at $22.50 per balm.
C.O. Bigelow makes a damn nice Tinted Lip Balm that’s half the cost if you’re on a bit of a beauty diet. These are a mere $7.50 and if you buy two of ’em at your local Bath and Body Works you can snag one for free. That’s three for less than the price of one Fresh Balm.
Sweet right?
These are formulated with lemon oil, shea butter, vitamins, and minerals so expect a highly moisturizing lip balm. They glide onto lips beautifully and aren’t as dense as Fresh’s version. They have a melty, hydrating finish that feels nourishing and lightweight on lips so no icky, heavy balm feel here just smooth, beautiful shine, color, and a lovely little burst of lemon and berries.
Part of the main appeal here is the fact they keep my lips so very smooth but it doesn’t hurt that every single shade I hauled gives me a beautiful MLBB (my lips but better) hint of color. They look natural and pretty on without every being over done or too garish.
The shades I hauled were:
- Lemon and Blackberry (this is equivalent to Fresh Plum Balm and leaves a natural plummy berry tint behind on lips)
- Lemon and Ginger (this is a nude, natural shade of beige that equivalent to Fresh Honey Balm)
- Lemon and Strawberry (this is a bright berry pink similar to the newest Fresh Tinted Balm in Passion)
The balms all have a lemony fresh taste combined with either strawberry, blackberry, or ginger. The combination of lemon and berries is refreshing and sweet. Quite pleasant particularly if you love flavored lip balms. It’s not a sugary lemon taste like Fresh’s version but it does have some of the same elements.
I love Fresh’s version but I actually like these even more. They have a really nice glide and keep my lips nicely hydrated throughout the day. I don’t really love reapplying my lipstick and gloss once it wears away so this is a nice way to keep my lips tinted and hydrated throughout the day!
Likey!
A most perfect beauty budget balm.
Muse Approved for purchase.
Available at Bath and Body Works.
P.S. If tint isn’t your thing no worries they make a regular Lemon Balm sans color as well!
