Hard Candy Take It Off Makeup Remover Wipes Review

Hard Candy Take It Off Makeup Remover Wipes are brand new for Spring 2012. These wipes promise to remove glitter, makeup, and even waterproof mascara in a single go.

My main use for makeup remover wipes?

Sitting them by my desk to remove swatches. Seriously, I must go through a package a week! I need to buy stock in these things. I typically don’t use them on my face unless I’m being SUPER lazy and just want to head straight to bed.

How about you?

How often do you use makeup remover wipes?

Let’s take a look at the Hard Candy Take It Off Wipes and see if they are worthy of our stash.

These come in a pack of 20 for $5 and I was debating with myself about the price. It was both inexpensive and too high it seemed. Cheap in the fact most wipes are about the same quantity wise and around $5.49 per package but expensive when you think about ongoing sales at the drugstore when you can stock up on wipes for considerably less.

What do you think?

These are fragrance-free and a pretty basic wipe that isn’t heavily saturated, I like my wipes fairly “wet” and these were a tad on the drier side.. They do a fairly good job removing makeup quickly but they struggle a little bit with waterproof mascara and some tugging is involved to get all eye makeup off and it still left behind a good deal of it.

On the plus side, the packaging has a nice tight seal so the wipes remain fresh when not in use.

Overall, Hard Candy Take It Off Makeup Remover Wipes are a novel little purchase but you can probably find something cheaper and more effective at the drugstore.

Hard Candy’s Spring 2012 Collection will be launching at Walmart shortly (or might already be available in your location).

I barely ever use makeup remover wipes. If I’m super lazy (or a little tipsy lol!) I’ll use a cleansing water, so the only time I really use wipes is if I end up staying over a friends house or something.

Hey Muse! I saw these at Wally World a couple of days ago, but held off til I could get some input from your review! One question tho – do they have a lot of fragrance? I *hate* heavily fragranced wipes, and the ponds ones I have now are loaded with it – I will not buy those again.

Just wonderin’ about how smelly they are? 🙂 Sounds like they work as well as the rest of ’em!
    Thanks Darlin’!

no hun, mentioned in the review they are fragrance free..I didn’t smell anything! I agree, many are…I’m not sensitive but sometimes the fragrance is TOO much! my pleasure ;-D just read over the review, mentioned it in the post.

I love the door on these! I usually use the CVS version of Ponds white tea and chamomile and the door keeps them fresh and wet.
And when you can score them on a bogo half off BONUS!
And for a few cents more, these are a30 count.

I like the idea of a waterproof and glitter removal, however I rarely go full on glitter. But I can see these working well for the ‘younger’ set.

How often do I use these? Well.. at night after a very long day, (I try not to do this often) but usually in the moring before running the wild bunch to school.

I use makeup wipes a couple times a week. (Well, I took a trip last week and packed them to use everyday, but that was more because I didn’t want to accidentally get mascara on someone else’s towels like I do my own!)

I buy the Green Tea ones at Big Lots. 60 wipes for $2–now anything else just seems obscenely priced. Including these, haha.

I use makeup wipes before I wash my face but my skin tends to be mad at me so I need to go around Robin Hood’s barn before it’s happy and settled!

I use baby wipes which are a gazillion for $5 and gentle on my skin so I think I’ll pass on these but I’m glad they’re an okay buy. 🙂
