Lorac Lips with Benefits Lipgloss Review & Swatches
The new Lorac Lips with Benefits Lipgloss is a selection of four new shades of gloss with a paraben-free gloss infused with acai berry, pomegranate extract, and vitamins C and E. These natural antioxidants help nourish and protect lips.
Is it terrible that I just was interested in the gloss and not so much for the antioxidant infused formula? “Gloss! Gloss! new Gloss!” Mmmm, beauty demon comes out to play.
Let’s take a look!
Visually these are rather stunning. Each gloss features a swirl of tiger stripped hues with a single dominate cream base shade and two stripes of color one of which is a sparkly metallic the other a cream accent. They are absolutely stunning to look at to say the least.
On the down side they are unfortunately cream finish all the way (aside from the two shades of the seven released). I’m not a huge fan of cream lipglosses or lipsticks so these aren’t exactly my cuppa tea however if you enjoy such a finish you’ll like them. And there happens to be quite a good deal of things to rave about here including, and most importantly, the very long wear time the glosses have. Put these on in the AM and they’ll get you straight through five hours of wear at the least (without eating or drinking). They aren’t too tacky or sticky either but they still manage to adhere very well to lips with a lightweight texture that wears very strong.
The glosses have a creme bruelee taste and scent but nothing like Urban Decay’s Gloss if you’re worried. I get more of a sugary, burnt cotton candy taste which oddly enough I find terribly pleasant but if you’re a bit sensitive you might want to do a casual sniff at Sephora or Ulta before indulging.
I don’t pull off the Kim K nude lip so well, no matter how much I want to but these glosses are pretty much a gateway for her legendary nude lip. So if you’re wanting to recreate or just love the nude lip look in general these will successfully give you the tools to get that look.

The gloss finish runs a little dry so it does accentuate dryness and will look patchy if you don’t prep well. I’d suggest a balm of some sort prior if you have drier lips for the smoothest finish. A combination of the dryness and cream finish also prevents it from looking terribly shiny or glossy. I’d say they run towards being more of a liquid lipstick finish versus a glossy one so don’t expect a ton of shine here. Chris is about the only shade in the mix that I tired which has metallic-like, shimmery finish versus the others that are all cream.

Sephora carries four shades of the gloss but for a bigger selection Ulta has seven total colors.
Overall, I didn’t personally love Lorac Lips with Benefits Lipgloss simply because I’m not a fan of cream finishes but there isn’t any fault with the gloss on a whole. The long wear time and the friendly formulation infused with good for you ingredients makes them an appealing pick. If you love nude, cream shades of lipgloss that lean more towards being a liquid lipstick than a gloss you’ll love these.
