Sephora Hot Hues All Over Bronzer Review & Swatches

I think there’s something to said about a bronzer the size of your head. Sephora wants the world to glow and for $24 you’ll have all the bronzer you’ll ever need and some left over change to purchase a small village to use it on (as well as yourself).

Let’s take a look at the new Sephora Hot Hues All Over Bronzer ($24).

People, this is stupid massive. It’s freaking huge! The size of a CD. Gotta love big!

Sephora Hot Hues All Over Bronzer is available in two shades and sports a paraben free formula. The compact is about the size of a CD and features six strips of graduating shades that act as blusher, highlighter, bronzer, and heck, go on now, use them as a shadow.

The larger size allows you to fit a good sized body kabuki into the compact if you’d like to use this on your legs and arms. The powder does multitask and the larger size is larger because of just that as it allows you to multitask it on not only your face and cheeks but also your body.

It does kick up a good deal of powder when you swirl a kabuki in it, just a warning there. Combined the shade is a warm, glow-y bronze sheen that gives a soft focused glow. You have to be careful with it as I find you can easily overdo it as it can either go on too metallic, too frosty, or too sparkly depending how heavy handed you are. If you’re really scared, I’d suggest a fan brush as it’ll go lightly across the powder and highlight the tops of cheek bones with a lighter finish.

The strips are large enough to fit a sponge applicator or brush into so you can use them as a shadow. Technically they aren’t as pigmented used alone as they are together but you can get a nice wash of color on lids using the shades.

On a negative note, it is difficult to carry around if you want to touch up. It’s pretty bulky and won’t travel to friendly-like and might even break if you toss your bag or tote around.

But facts is facts, I’d say this is a very nice bronzer and quite a value. This will last you into the next millennium and if you’re a bronzer girl I’m sure you can appreciate the lovely glow it gives.

How does this compare to the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick?
I am always looking for inexpensive replacements to it.

I’m sorry, that’s just way too huge, haha! Is powder really a practical body product? I’d think one would be better off with a lotion, oil, or that Mac face+body foundation.

I just bought my first bronzer ever, though, and I’m surprised by how much I like it. I bought the lightest, goldest one, because I was afraid of looking like an oompa loompa. It’s barely darker than my skin, it’s like bronzer for dummies. 😀
