Soap & Glory Cheekmate is a cheek and lipstain the brand introduced a few months ago. Soap & Glory roamed deeper into the cosmetic world with this release as they never really did color cosmetics.
I’m a little sad we haven’t yet seen the cosmetic line here in the US but I look forward to the release.
Revlon has a special display that I noticed at the Evil Empire Walmart recently of Super Lustrous Lipstick.
I’m not sure if the display will pop up elsewhere but I must say I really liked that they took a display and stuck a buncha old shades in it simply because I’ve never really paid much attention to the lipstick before and I liked that they highlighted best selling colors.
I own one or two Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks already but like Maybelline Color Sensational I feel like it’s an overrated lipstick with only one redeeming factor, the gorgeous shade selection.
Peach Me happened to be in that special display unit and even though I’m not terribly into the formula I really liked the shade.
Beth Ditto gave me a little case of polka dot fever. Polka dots aren’t the most flattering or wearable fashion option in the world but I absolutely adore accessories featuring them.
That’s why I think the new Hello Kitty Hello Pretty Polka Dot Compact Mirror released with the Hello Kitty Summer 2012 Collection is rather darling.
L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream launched a few short months ago in the UK. I purchased mine from England within weeks because I was so terribly curious about a drugstore BB Cream. Since Garnier was one of the only drugstore BB Creams within the US at the time of this release I was terribly curious how brands like Maybelline, L’Oreal, etc….would do with the formula.
Again, we face a rather odd conundrum with a BB Cream formula that, well, isn’t really a BB Cream. With Nude Magique, L’Oreal has simply created something completely outside of the realms of a traditional BB Cream. It’s not even CLOSE to anything you’d find in a BB Cream from Korea and in some cases it’s actually entertaining they think it’s ok to call it one.
Let’s take a look at L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream.
As you know, I recently blogged about the new Stila Travel Girl Palettes for Summer 2012. There are five available at the moment but knowing Stila’s track record they’ll probably do an exclusive here or there with Macy’s, Sephora, etc….
The style of palette isn’t actually new since Nordstrom first introduced their exclusive version several weeks ago entitled On The Road. This version is a collaboration between Nordsom BP (BP is a collection created by Nordie’s for teens/young women) and Stila. Stila has released a few BP collaborated palettes prior to this so I was kinda delighted by On the Road since it was a new and different variation from the typical budget palettes Stila has put out the last two years or so.
However, I think the uniqueness and specialness has worn off for me now that I know there will be five (or more) now.
Here’s my thoughts on the Stila + BP On the Road Palette, take the jump for the deets.
Thanks to the Moxiegirls (especially Joelle) for creating a gorgeous new Musings of a Muse experience for us all (and for dealing with my insanity, I’m not an easy person to deal with when it comes to Musings, she’s my baby!).
I hope you love it as much as I do.
I think it looks amazing!
Hopefully it improves your overall browsing experience.
If you have any issues or problems with the site please feel free to contact me so I can iron out the details.
Hope everyone had a safe, pleasant Holiday weekend!
Just a quickie note…
Musings will be down starting 4 PM EST today and will be pop later this evening. But I promise the downtime will be worth the wait as my new theme is upcoming shortly.
Thank you for your patience during the chaos lately! I know I’ve had some issues keeping the site up but the new theme plus a brand new server box should keep things running smoothly.
If you experience any issues please don’t hesitate to tweet me or e-mail me!
I hope you’re going to love the new look of Musings of a Muse as much as I do!
Wet n Wild has several new nail color collections that have launched for Spring 2012 and Summer 2012. Polishes are $2.99 to 4.99 each and I saw three different displays for the collections at my local Rite Aid with a variety of formulas including chrome and crackles!
I’m not a nail girl but I thought I’d share some of these for those interested.
It’s that time of the year again kids….Stila Travel Palette time!
This year, Stila Travel Palettes for Summer 2012 get a major price increase at $16 each. Ouch! Starting at $10 wriggling up to what, $12 last year? And finally jumping to $16 this year definately drops them off the beauty budget radar.
But I’m hoping with a price increase, we’ll also see a better quality shadow from these new palettes since some of the palettes in the past have been a hit or miss.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em the new Stila Travel Palettes Summer 2012 are here.
For Summer 2012 Covergirl Eye Enhancers get a revamp. Yes, that is Taylor Swift in the promo image on the display!
Crazy right? Doesn’t even look like her!
These new Eye Enhancer Palettes have four shades of complimentary shades for a variety of eye colors. I know I’ve mentioned it before but I’m not really a lover of palettes that claim to contain shades suitable for my eye color, I’d rather pick and choose the shades I enjoy using not ones that a brand picks for me meh!
I think the original Eye Enhancer Palettes weren’t all that fabulous but of course, that’s just from looks alone on my part as I didn’t actually try them.
