MAC Ruffian Collection

The new MAC Ruffian Collection includes press on nails, something I haven’t seen from MAC before.

Will you indulge?

Cult New York designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian bring their infamous swagger to MAC in three exclusive Ruffian Manicures and Lipsticks. Each ready-to-wear set includes 24 nails that are pre-glued and in assorted sizes to ensure a couture-worthy fit. Touch and go with Spectator ovals, an inky spin on the classic French manicure; turn everything to gold with gilded tips à la Demilune; or push buttons in five-alarm Demoiselle talons. For the power pout: Ruffian Red, Ruffian Naked, a creamy beige, and Ruffian Gold, its 24-carat kin. A triple-threat of colour, texture and style.

MAC Ruffian Lipstick $14.50

  • Ruffian Naked Pale peachy nude (matte)
  • Ruffian Gold Gold glitter metallic (frost)
  • Ruffian Red Classic rich blue red (matte)

MAC Ruffian Manicure $25

  • Spectator Cream with black half moon, black french tip and black Ruffian ensignia (creme)

I’m not a nail girl so I can safely skip this one.

I’m gonna skip too, I find the whole nail sticker thing incredibly tacky :/

Uhh I just realized these are press on nails not stickers.., disreguard my previous comment lol
    I haven’t had my coffee yet 😛

Ick. No. Big misstep from Mac, IMO. I’m not a fan of stick on nails (though I like the half-moons), and that matte beige lip looks corpse-a-riffic.

  • 6/13/12 12:55 Laurie:

Press on? Hells no. That red lippie looks fabulous though.

  • 6/14/12 1:06 Ruthless:

I tend to bite my nails, and I really like the full cover nails as glue ons-I can get about 5 days of wear out of them (I never use stick tabs, ugh) and they are far less damaging to my nails than gels or acrylics. So I’m excited about the fake nails for sure

I love the naked lipstick, and the spectator nail stuff things. I hope that the nail stickers will include enough for more than end use!
