Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 Review & Swatches
What’s better than a single Sleek Make Blush? Three of ’em! There’s just something about variety when it comes to makeup and more is always the order of business as far as I’m concerned.
Sleek recently introduced their Blush by 3 Palettes which includes three next to full size blushes in a single slim line compact. I actually ordered ALL the shades after getting a press sample for review but I had issues with my order boo! So I only have the one shade to review for you today but will follow up with swatches of the others when they arrived.
Let’s take a look!
This palette is a slick, generously size black compact with a full size mirror. It’s small enough to travel super friendly in your makeup bag but not so small that you can’t comfortably get at each blush with a brush. The wells are a little smaller than a depotted NARS Blush. I think the palette reeks classy goodness as it’s simple, practical, yet very MAC-like.
The shade selection I have here is Pink Sprint which is pretty overwhelming as you can see. These are strong, vibrant shades of blush best suited to a darker skin than my own but with a fan brush and a really light hand you can easily use these for a flush of color.
Some of these colors remind me of shades I already own from the single blush range so do beaware prior to purchasing any of the Blush by 3 Palettes that you may run across a dupe or two.
I’ve always find the Sleek Makeup Blush formula challenging to work with as they are SUPER pigmented and in most cases matte so they end up applying a bit on the patchy side. I suggest moisturizing well prior to application, follow up with primer, and remember go lightly these need a little TLC to get the best finish.
Pink Sprint is includes a raspberry red, a bright fuchsia, and mauve-y pink color all of which have semi-matte formulas. Don’t expect to work with all three of these shades at once, use them individually for the best results unless you’re going for a Bozo the Clown look, in that case, go crazy, use ’em all!
Overall, Blush by 3 gives a nice bit of bang for your buck and totals a whooping 0.68 oz of blush total. That’s like two full blushes and a half! Some of the shade selections can be scary for the fairer skinned out there but they should be major appealing to ladies of color who have a hard time tracking down a richly pigmented blush to show up on their skin. No worries though, there are a total of five shade selections to choose from so you’re bound to find at least one of the trios to love on.
