Lorac Pro Cream Eyeliner Review & Swatches
Lorac Pro Cream Eyeliner is the new love of my makeup loving life.
As rather big fan of Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner I feel every so slightly guilty of cheating on Bobbi but facts if facts, Lorac, you have the better formula.
Being as goofy as I am with liquid liner I do find gel eyeliner considerably easier to work with. But as you probably noticed in many of my posts I leave off eyeliner from many of my looks. Reason? I feel a little over done lining my upper lash line…!
Anyone have that feeling? I just can’t work the look. So when I do use gel eyeliner I tend to go with a VERY, very nude eye look but today I got a little daring. I was testing out Gleaming Bronze so I paired it up with a little Lorac Pro Cream Eyeliner and yes, it pops but it might be too much. You’ve been warned.
So what’s to love here?
Lorac has successfully created a foolproof gel formula with a creamy, easy glide texture that’s absolutely gorgeous. This is a formula that’s the truest definition of a gel as it has that sort of “pudding” give when you dip into it. Does that make any sense at all? Ya know, your brush kinda bounces off it like jello.
The texture isn’t the only thing that’s incredible about it. The pigmentation is outstanding and the black shade I tried out had a rich color pay off that really added drama to my eye look.
One of the perks of Pro Cream Eyeliner is the funky packaging design. Mind you, it isn’t a new design as other brands have embraced it in the past including Rimmel. This is a tiny screw top jar with a funnel shaped topper that houses the brush, it kinda looks like the gel liner is wearing a party hat, wahooo party, cake! It could be deemed a little awkward for travel but it’s actually so tiny you won’t feel that way in the least. I typically misplace brushes that come with liners so I appreciate I can tuck the brush right back into the top, screw it all together, and tote it with me anywhere I go.
Although you won’t need to travel with it because this bad boy lasts and lasts and lasts. I have dry eyes and I had no issues with flaking and no problems with smudging or fading. I put it on at 5AM and it got me through a VERY hot day in San Diego and into the early morning (1:14 AM to be exact) and still looked like I just put it on. I’m not sure how it’ll fair on oily eyes since it does have an emollient texture which gives it that smooth, easy glide across the lash line but I think once it sets you shouldn’t have a problem at all.
One thing to take note, it is a little smaller and a little more expensive than a MAC Fluidline at $19/0.08oz versus $15/0.1oz. But….the formula reigns supreme in my opinion.
Muse Approved for purchase.
I’m going ahead and say you NEED this.
Fantastic eyeliner.
I typically don’t get excited about eyeliners but Lorac Pro Cream Eyeliner impressed.
Put it on the “to be hauled” list. I think you’ll like it as much as I do.
Tried it already?
