Hmm it’s not quite what I envisioned for Cinderella but it kinda is. That makes no sense does it? I think I get that ice blue coolness I associate with her but the collection on a whole isn’t something that excites me terribly.

Hope I’m not losing my beauty mojo!

I think perhaps the shades are a little too cool for me and that’s why I’m not finding anything terribly exciting. I see why Kat Von D didn’t get her Tattoo Chronicle Palette this year as it looks like the Storybook Eyeshadow Palette is done in a similiar vein yes?

What do you think?

Hyperventilating?

Or just yawning?

Do share!

Beauty Insiders can indulge in the Disney Cinderella Collection at Sephora.com now and it will become available in store as well as online for everyone later in October.

Must have the mirror! I want the roller ball, the polishes and the lipsticks.

  • Ben

While i’m excited about the makeup, i’m seriously lusting after the mirror compact. The clock design is lovely.

  • Debster

I want the mirror, the swarovski bottle, and that quad looks very high end. I hope it’s really pigmented!!

  • Robin

I like the lipipies and the quad. I’m cool toned and fair so this will work for mr!

  • Abbi P.

I really wasn’t expecting to like any of this at all and now that I see it I kinda do, a lot! I’m favoring the Quad, lipsticks especially Lady Tremaine for fall, polishes, and mirror..I think it all does look rather princess-y and I’m excited! I also want to see the movie, I loved it growing up!

  • julia

Personally, this is exactly what I was hoping for! I’ve got the same colouring as Cinderella so this is perfect ^^

  • Patricia

Muse, do you will review the Storylook Eyeshadow Palette??? Please, say yes!!! The only way I can buy it is online and I would love to see your swatches!

  • Cindy

I completely understand when you say this isn’t what you were expecting. I envisioned more blue, and sparkles, and glass! It’s still very beautiful packaging, and that compact is just to die for!

  • Dia

I agree with all the above. The packaging, especially that mirror, is gorgeous, but the makeup itself is dull. I really love that quad but the shadows inside aren’t worth it. I’m curious about the fragrance though- heavy on the florals but not a hint of candy sweetness? Gimme!

  • LINDARRAGNAR

super cute!! I think cinderella was always my favourite disney princess!! How about you muse? Which one’s your favourite?

  • Monica

I’m not too interested in the makeup itself, but I would love to smell the perfume. I always imagined Cinderella to smell fresh and clean, although I don’t usually associate aldehydes with freshness lol

    • Kara

“Fresh and Clean” is exactly how the perfume smells to me. I was hoping for a nice bright floral that warmed up into something that was a bit deeper and woody. Nope. Just fresh and clean. I think I might return it, but I really don’t want to because it is really lovely packaging, and it is a nice scent. I just know I won’t wear it very much 🙁

The mirror is absolutely worth buying. It’s even more stunning in person!

  • Camille

    Polishes & lipsticks for me!!!
I want the storybook palette because of the names of the shades but my fears that the quality just won’t be there tell me that I should take my money to the Vice palette instead!

  • Sarah S.

I noticed the likeness to the Kat Von D Tattoo Chronicles shadows, too! Not in color, but in packaging and pan shape. It would be nice if this set is that level of quality. However, like you these are not really my colors so I’m going to skip. Glad to see how nice the collection is, though 🙂

    • the Muse

sarah, yes very much so right? I was a little disappointed to be honest b/c we’ve seen it from kat already!

  • Kim

I’m most excited about the eyeshadows and the perfume but I won’t indulge until I get to try it out in stores.

  • OrangeLipstickBlog

The mirror is gorgeous! And I love the Swarovski Edition bottle but I do NOT need to ever spend that much! Lol.

  • deliah

    That mirror WILL be mine.
    And the rollerball.
    And the polishes.
    Goodbye, paycheque.

  • Christine

I agree with everyone! That mirror is the best part of this collection! $55 for a Sephora brand palette is a little steep. The quality of their eye shadows are so hit and miss, I wouldn’t want to take the gamble.

  • Jen

It’s pretty funny that overall the most enthusiasm is for the compact. 😀

It looks good, it just doesn’t look AS good as other stuff I’m trying to arrange my whole budget around, LOL. And YES to those who said it looks like the Kat Von D holiday palette from last year (in shape).

  • Diane

I was so excited for this collection but i’m yawning. Honestly i am disappointed in it but at least ill save money lol

  • Majick

Swarovsky bottle (too expensive to actually purchase) and the mirror are my picks for this collection. I would love to smell the fragrance because it has a few notes that I know I like. If it’s great I would probably pick up the rollerball because I get tired of fragrances rather quickly.

I won’t buy the mirror because I have several nice compact mirrors already. I think I like most that it says, “Time for your moment”. I just htink that’s funny. 🙂

  • cat

Well, um…the packaging is really pretty? I’m sorry, aside from packaging the colors don’t feel very “Cinderella” to me. Gorgeous mirror though.

    • cat

Ordered the mirror. It came in the mail today. It is even more stunning in person. And I love the “Time for Your Moment” on the inside. It has a nice, reassuring weight to it though I’m not sure if I want to put it in my purse because I’d be crushed if it got damaged.

  • Stellar

I literally went ‘NO WAY!’ when I saw the title of the post. Ahh, I want that mirror compact and eyeshadow set just for the engraving!

  • Nicki

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s curious about the perfume. 😉
I’ll see if my favorite Sephora lady is in and ask about the release. Or I may just order it online… (A)

  • Hillary

It’s pretty but i’m going to pass on this….however keeping my fingers crossed they have The Little Mermaid collection!! She was my favorite princess growing up

  • Nala

Yeah, I think I’ll pass on this one. I think I’d rather shop from a Jasmine, Pocahontas, or Ariel collection. Rapunzel is cute too, but she seems like one of the childish rather than classy princesses at the moment.
