L’Oreal Project Runway The Temptress’ Gaze Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Geeks, the BH blog has been updated and with this image. I want to lick the screen in excitement! Dunno who looks better, Michael or Damien!

They tried to make Hal go to rehab and he said no, no, no!

You’re welcome.

And with that how about we chat a little more L’Oreal Project Runway today? In particular the The Temptress’ Gaze Quad I’m wearing today!

Take a look!

The collection features four limited edition eyeshadow quads for around $8.99 each. At this price they prove a little expensive since the formula wasn’t all that and a bag of chips. I’ve seen them for as high as $9.99 in some locations. Fact is, I’d rather have one MAC Eyeshadow (which would cost me $5 or so more) than have a quad of crummy shadows.

The Temptress’ Gaze isn’t TOO bad a formula but it isn’t the best either. The quad is made up of warmer, earthy tone and really is one of the only quads that features such natural shades. I like the fact that all the shades actually work well together because there is nothing worst than getting your hands on a quad with four mismatched shades that simply don’t contrast well together.

This quad contains a bronze, light copper, deep forest green, and brown shade. The formula isn’t sparkly but has more of a metallic finish on my lids. The shadows are a dense but you can pick up color well with a sponge tip applicator and they build quite well using this type of applicator. They have a velvety feel but they are harder in texture. I see a little bit of frostiness come out in some of the colors but it’s easy to tame it down by blending well. It isn’t the best formula of eyeshadow I ever worked with but it isn’t bad either. Colors were nicely pigmented, offered a fairly smooth finish, and created an overall nice eye look.

Overall, The Temptress’ Gaze is a beautiful quad for Fall looks. I liked how well the colors worked together however, I wasn’t terribly impressed with the overall formula of the shadows and felt that the near $10 price tag wasn’t particularly budget friendly, $5.99-$6.99 might be a bit nicer.

P.S. That’s Tarte Lipsurgence in Escape on my lips! I thought it looked lovely with this look!

I’d buy it on a BOGO but not at full price.

Anyone haul it?

Makeup now Being Human BBC, too?! Oh how I love you!! My head just exploded at this picture. Damien is cute, but I just love Michael’s blue collar appeal. YUM!

I love love Michael, but sometimes find it disorienting how much he looks like his sister, Lauren (who is AMAZING in Misfits). She looks just like Michael in a wig. Sometimes that is all I see when I look at him.

lol I agree! it’s quite strange. It’s reversed for me, I can’t see her without seeing him. Mostly I don’t feel the same seeing him, just her..! Maybe if she thinned her brows out a little!? I love misfits btw. bestest show ever ;D

GOD Michael’s eyebrows, I drew an ode to them:

Must admit Tom’s my favourite. He’s just so naive and cute!

This comment is so hilarious! I seriously need to see Misfits. I love Tom more than the actor who plays him…he’s a little too crude for me – I love Tom’s naivette, I think it’s adorable! No one can top THE Mr. Aidan Turner, though (or the original cast, for that matter). The new girl reminds me of youtube guru Kandee Johnson. Her style on the show is even similar.

omg you haven’t seen misfits? best show ever! 🙂 they have the dvds available on amazon uk! I love tom’s innocence too! when they forgot his bday last season awwwwwwww! I love the original cast too and thought it was the end of the world that they were leaving one after the other but I have to say tom, hal, alex…they are FAB characters I’ve really grown to love. Hal’s OCD nature is so damn endearing ;D

Those colors are very pretty on you, Muse. But I must say that I haven’t had good luck with L’Oreal eye shadows. While they look good in the package, the colors are always very muted when I put them on my eyes. In fact, while cleaning out my make up drawer over the weekend, I found an unopened quad (I have so much I forget I have them). I wore it today & just checked in the mirror & it looks like I never put any on. I even used primer. Big bag of downers. 🙁

I love Damien! I can’t wait ’til BBC America shows the newest season of Being Human.
