Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Go get yourself some Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow because for $2.99 you can’t beat this beauty budget eyeshadow! Alright, it doesn’t REALLY stay all day and yeah, it’s a little sheer but that’s ok, it looks damn pretty and at under three bucks I want them ALL!
You can join me collecting them all and in my quest for domination or not, your choice, optional. I do suggest you join up though as when I unleash the zombies, you’ll be the one out in the cold.

Even the bloody packaging is cute! This little pot has a raised dome lid which makes it look kinda fancy pants for a three buck cream shadow.
Inside you get a whooping 0.19 oz of cream shadow! Here’s the deal, it works AMAZING, like SUPER DUPER awesome as a base but on its own it’s a little iffy.
Application is a little patchy so build up is a necessary evil. If you have time, patience, a little love and caring, possibly understanding, you can build the shadow up to a perfect finish. However, if you’re as rushed and impatient as I am things can go wrong sometimes…..I notice the shade I tried blended out a bit patchy and showed the lid of my skin if I didn’t take proper care to build up the color. It’s also quite a sheer shadow (For Fairies is the color I tried)…but again, proper care and attention to build the color up results in a really brilliant eye look (as seen below).
Wear time is iffy…I noticed it creased within a three hour period even with excellent prepping prior to application. Amazingly enough, with powder shadow on top, they actually don’t crease and hold the wear of powder for a solid eight hours before fading a little. It also adds nice depth and richness to a powder shadow shade.
Moral of the story?
It isn’t a perfect eyeshadow but I love it at this price. Pick ‘em up!

I bought one of these a while ago and it was dry when I opened it! The product itself had already pulled away from the sides of the container. It still worked, just look a bit of love. I wont be buying more simply because it comes in a plastic container that does not appear to seal very well.
Just wanted to warn you, Muse! Try the Avon cream shadows..now THOSE are amazing.

I love it! And I don’t suffer any creasing at all (even though my lids are really hooded)…
The last thing I need is more shadow, but that color is really pretty!
I have the coppery one and it lasts 8 hours on my oily eyelids (without primer!) whether I set it with powder eyeshadow or not. They are sheer but I like them that way. All in all, I think they’re pretty awesome for the price!
no such luck they crease on me but still LOVE ‘em ;-D
Btw, I think most of them are getting discontinued so I’d say grab them while you can!

I think these are being phased out though…my local Ulta had them all marked down to $1.99 and most of them were already sold out. please correct me if I am wrong. Just a little tip..I use the pink, gold and copper ones on my lips too!!! Dabbed over lipstick in the center of the lip creates a gorgeous sheen and helps the lasting power of the lipstick. Give it a try

Speaking of zombies, have you seen Warm Bodies? It was good and very funny. I really like this color on you. It makes your eyes sparkle! I need to catch up on watching Girls. I think I’ve only watched the 1st episode so far. I’m so behind on all my shows and I’ve been playing catch up!

I haven’t read the book but I may get it since I’ve had other people say it was good. I have one episode of Grimm left and then I’m caught up on it. I’ve had to have marathon sessions to watch them all! haha
they have a prequel that recently came out a sequel on the horizon so def worth adding to the TBRP ;-D I actually canceled my season pass of grimm during the first season, kinda regret it because I have to hear my mom talking about it with my sister all the time haha!
I’ve been watching Grimm on Hulu even though it keeps messing up on me and making me angry! I’ve been enjoying season 2 though. I love Monroe!

and you know, what you mention about this creasing unless you use a powder on top, the same happens with the Laura Mercier Eye Basics. It is a superb primer, but if you use it alone it will crease within the next half hour. Why is that??

Actually, I use three shades of it, even this nice pink and for me it doesn’t crease for several hours. I can say it lasts all day, happy to have them.
My fav is Nr. 09 Glammy goes to… which is a nice champagne color, you should give it a try.
