NYX Chocolate Collection Kohl Kajal Brown Liner Review & Swatches
Hello, you NEED the new NYX Kohl Kajal Brown Eyeliner from the NYX Chocolate Collection. Seriously, get it, now.
This six dollar eyeliner is well worth picking up if you love dreamy, creamy, smudge-y formulas.
Take a peek!
My earliest memory of makeup or beauty of any kind was my sister using a black eyeliner in a red package (I believe it was Maybelline? Covergirl?) on her waterline. However, prior to applying she’d use a lighter to warm the pencil up and melt it down. Yeah, odd, I know, but it was a thing in the 80’s.
NYX Chocolate Collection Kohl Kajal Brown Liner brings that memory way back to the front of my mind. Of course, the good news is you don’t need the lighter to melt this bad boy down. It’s already a dreamy, creamy, smudge ready pencil. This reminds me so much of that retro eyeliner my sister used. It has that retro pencil feel but the formula is incredibly creamy and applies easily onto the lash line and waterline and smudges out to a perfect smoky eye. This is the type of pencil you want in your arsenal because chances are you’ll use it on your waterline daily. Or if you’re one for smudging out your liner look daily, again, it’ll be something to have handy as it has the perfect formula to perfect that look.
This is old school pencil eyeliner, the likes of which I see less and less of in the beauty world. The color is a deeply pigmented satiny finish brown with an almost matte finish. It wears fairly well on the lash line without smudging for a solid eight hours on my drier eyes. On my waterline I can get at least four to five hours in between touch ups.
Oily lids beware, this type of formula is ultra creamy so you might experience some smudging and raccoon-age going on as the day progresses but for normal to dry eyes you shouldn’t have an issue.
Overall, a most excellent old fashion eyeliner.
