Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream Review & Swatches
Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream ($16) steps up the game this Spring with their weightless true to skin BB Cream or at least that’s their promise.
Pacifica leaves behind their roots of fragrance and bath and body and joins the makeup world with a new range of color cosmetics as well as skincare this Spring that will be available at your local Target. Their new Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream is right on trend as they jump into the beauty world.
Is it worth picking up?
Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream sounds like a dream come true! A weightless BB Cream that works to prime, perfect, and illuminate with a water based and anti-aging formula, seriously, that sounds heavenly.
Unfortunately, it’s merely a tinted moisturizer and not even that to be honest. Sad sigh. I think Pacifica really did a fantastic job with this product in regards to marketing. It’s incredibly pleasing to the eye….! And really as women (and some men too) we all want pretty packaging, pretty makeup, pretty things….The packaging is stunning! It comes in a coral box with pretty metallic flower bursts The BB Cream itself is a squeeze tube with little floral designs. If their looking to garner our attention, well, they got it. Because chances are you see it on the shelf you’re going to want to buy, want to own it.
Even the texture of the BB Cream is beautiful! Everything about it reeks “girl”! This is a creamy texture which morphs into a whipped up watery texture as you apply. It’s cool, refreshing, and has a delicate tanning lotion scent (that could be me but I swear it smells like some of tanning oil). Although it lacks the thick, creamy texture of a traditional BB Cream it still has a lovely texture that blends easily into skin and absorbs in a snap.
But there’s bad news….
It offers zero coverage. Sigh. It has a light, dewy finish and the color is a golden beige which has a tiny bit of a glow to it but once on skin you won’t notice. The coverage could be likened to a tinted moisturizer but is far sheerer than one. It doesn’t really perfect my skin but it might work well for someone who doesn’t wear foundation products.
Overall, this was a sad disappointment. It has all the key elements to being a fantastic product but when it comes to the most important aspect of all, coverage, it is sadly lacking.
Sigh.
It’s available now at Target and Target.com
Anyone try it?
