Bare Minerals The Statement Piece Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palette in The Statement Piece is a shade selection that was introduced in the second Bare Minerals Beautifully Brilliant Collection Set that launched at QVC a few months ago.
If you didn’t sign up for the auto ship on this set you’ll have a little bit of a hard time getting your hands on this palette. Mind you, it isn’t impossible as Evil-bay is always is a good way to go. At some point I imagine Bare Minerals will go ahead and introduce this palette to their general catalog.
Take a peek!
Does anyone really love what Bare Minerals is doing lately with their compacts? I like that they aren’t embracing the standard black compact for some of their LE quads. It started with the Remix Collection but they’ve extended this to many LE items lately going with gold compacts and with this particular quad silver. It’s quite pretty but a little bit of a magnet for fingerprints I fear!
The Statement Piece is a VERY understated quad of shades at a glance but they actually are rather stunning together.
You get:
- Haute (silvery shimmer)
- Tres Chic (apricot creme)
- Invite Only (taupe slate)
- Couture (glimmering clove)
Couture, Invite Only, Haute, Tres Chic
Invite Only kinda goes khaki brown and gives my brown eyes such an incredible pop! I LOVE this shade. I do find Haute the worst shade in the quad as not only seems mismatched to the other color but also has the poorer formula due to frost factor, it’s terribly frosty and kinda ruins the look.
So long as I avoid using Haute the other shades in the quad create a very natural eye look that’s quite elegant.
As with all of the Ready Palettes I’m quite pleased with the formula. These have a soft, velvety texture that blend easily and have excellent pigment! I do think other pieces that came with this collection were a bit better than the quad though such as the blush and gloss I recently featured. It is a very average sort of palette that’s dupe-able if you have a large stash of makeup.
In the end I think Invite Only saves the quad from being a little uneventful.
None the less, if you like a really natural look this is a quad to pick up for sure especially if you can get it for a good cost on E-bay!
Anyone own it?
