Bare Minerals The Statement Piece Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Review & Swatches

Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 The Statement Piece

Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palette in The Statement Piece is a shade selection that was introduced in the second Bare Minerals Beautifully Brilliant Collection Set that launched at QVC a few months ago.

If you didn’t sign up for the auto ship on this set you’ll have a little bit of a hard time getting your hands on this palette. Mind you, it isn’t impossible as Evil-bay is always is a good way to go. At some point I imagine Bare Minerals will go ahead and introduce this palette to their general catalog.

Take a peek!

Does anyone really love what Bare Minerals is doing lately with their compacts? I like that they aren’t embracing the standard black compact for some of their LE quads. It started with the Remix Collection but they’ve extended this to many LE items lately going with gold compacts and with this particular quad silver. It’s quite pretty but a little bit of a magnet for fingerprints I fear!

The Statement Piece is a VERY understated quad of shades at a glance but they actually are rather stunning together.

You get:

  • Haute (silvery shimmer)
  • Tres Chic (apricot creme)
  • Invite Only (taupe slate)
  • Couture (glimmering clove)

Couture, Invite Only, Haute, Tres Chic

Invite Only kinda goes khaki brown and gives my brown eyes such an incredible pop! I LOVE this shade. I do find Haute the worst shade in the quad as not only seems mismatched to the other color but also has the poorer formula due to frost factor, it’s terribly frosty and kinda ruins the look.

So long as I avoid using Haute the other shades in the quad create a very natural eye look that’s quite elegant.

As with all of the Ready Palettes I’m quite pleased with the formula. These have a soft, velvety texture that blend easily and have excellent pigment! I do think other pieces that came with this collection were a bit better than the quad though such as the blush and gloss I recently featured. It is a very average sort of palette that’s dupe-able if you have a large stash of makeup.

In the end I think Invite Only saves the quad from being a little uneventful.

None the less, if you like a really natural look this is a quad to pick up for sure especially if you can get it for a good cost on E-bay!

Anyone own it?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

I love this eyeshadow formula, but I often find I don’t love the colour combinations. Maybe I’m just unimaginative, but there is always a colour (or several) in their 4.0 or 8.0 palettes which leaves me flat.

jade I must suffer from the same creativity issue lol! because I def feel the same about the quads! one color is almost always off 😀

I’m stalking eBay for this one (even though I can easily dupe it from my BE loose minerals collection) and the liner duo. I love the liners the best of any liner I’ve used — there’s absolutely no fallout.

Aw Muse, why you do this to me? I had canceled my AD delivery after the first one (loved those colors and the set but the rest pictured looked too warm toned for my complexion)!! After seeing your review of the e/s palette, blush (that alone was reason enough) and the moxie lipgloss I reinstated my AD!!!!!! Oh the shame!!! Oh and just got the pur minerals CC cream to try out……

LOL jen! Oh no so sorry 😀 hehe!!!!!!!!! I must admit I really like this shipment 😀 Oh how is it!?

  • Lori

Is there anyway you can post a picture of the looks that came with the set? I also canceled my AD delivery and now I’m kicking myself!

    • Jen_m_sunshine

Lori – you usually can re-instate your AD if you really want this set as well as future. I just did and mine shipped yesterday!

      • Lori

Thanks so much Jen, I didn’t know that was even an option. I already reinstated!

  • Abryda

Been using my palette for the last couple of days & so glad I kept my AD since most of the time I end up cancelling, but I really absolutely love the liners they are so amazing & goof proof since I’m so challenged when it comes to liquid liner application.

I just got my set last night! SO glad I reinstated my AD is just beautiful and I should have known better given I love moxie and I love the BE ready formula! Love these full sets too as can just thrown foundation, concealer and brow pencil in and easily switch out a whole look. Thanks for the great review Muse! I would have missed out on this and the next two!!!! Big Hugs and sunshiney days to you!

right back at ya jen so glad you were able to get back the AD ;-D

  • Lori

Well, I reordered and it never came, they said it was back ordered. Today I got the new set though “The Discovery” set. Do any of you have the get the looks brochure that came with The Statement Piece? I found it on ebay, but I’d like some ideas on how to use it. Thanks!

    • Jen_m_sunshine

Sorry to hear Lori – I actually skipped this shipment as I just bought the new 8.0 power neutrals and the colors in this set I wanted to see swatched first. Hope you like it!

This entire AD installment is available on QVC right now. It was at 2 Easy Payments last weekend, but I don’t know if that’s till in effect.
