Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation for Fall 2013

Kat Von D Lock It Powder Foundation

If you loved Kat Von D’s Lock-It Foundation I’m positive the news of her new Lock-It Powder Foundation will please! Much like Benefit Hello Flawless this new offers sheer or full coverage options with a LONG wearing promise that amazes me.

We’re talking 24 hours.

Really?

Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation promises 24 solid hours of wear with a matte, flawless finish.

Sephora makes it sound bulletproof as once it place it promises to remain budge-proof, sweat-proof, and smudge-proof around the clock with a buildable formula that hides imperfections easily. It promises to be weightless with a breathable, light texture.

Sounds pretty awesome for those with oily skin but I question the 24 hours of wear.

Do you think it’ll really last that long?

Hmmmm!

It’ll be available in 17 shades for Fall 2013 and launches shortly at Sephora and Sephora.com

P.S. Where are the bloody mermaids? I was up in 2AM trying to find them but no luck. Anyone find one!? I did catch a brief glance of the Kraken out of the corner of my eye but it was SUPER brief…..if I dive deep will I discover the Kingdom of the Cthulhu? Please say yes to humor me!

I am DYING to try the Lock-It Foundation – I currently have it sitting in my online Sephora shopping cart (with the Dior Nude BB cream). I love how the product looks on the skin, I’m just worried it’ll break me out. It’s oil-free, right?

the powder is oil free, the cream foundation is not from my understanding

I’m beyond excited about this! Love Kat Von D’s products! I am also, however, a little skeptical about the 24-hr claim…

I just recently purchased the lock it tattoo foundation I love it, but I also live in a hot climate. This one sounds right up my alley. :)

Ok do want! I have the liquid and love but it’s too full coverage for me most of the time. I also love the blushes and the liquid lipsticks. Really nice products.

My sister found a mermaid! Well, merman. Anyway, I just purchased the original foundation and am about to run out of my normal powder (MAC studio finish), so I hope this does the job for the days I don’t want heavy foundation….the compact design is already calling me in *-*

I was afraid this product wouldn’t offer shades for WOC but they do! I can’t wait to try this during the Fall!

I can’t wait to try this! Looks like sephora has it in stock online already. The shade numbers aren’t so helpful though. I have a light, true yellow golden skintone and I’m an nc20 in Mac. I have no idea what shade to order… Any help muse? Thanks :]

I’m not sure gem I haven’t seen these in person yet so hard to throw a shade at you by online swatches on sephora’s site alone :-/

Thanks for the reply anyway :) I went ahead and ordered light 45 because meduim 52 in the liquid formula was too dark and peachy on my light yellow skin. That may seem like a huge jump, but judging from the shades on sephora’s site, light 45 is like the only one that has a light yellow look to it. Too bad sephora didn’t describe each shade as usual… That would’ve saved the guess work :/ We’ll just have to see how that works! Thanks :)

Of course, there’s no light 42 for us pale girls. The liquid foundation in the lightest shade is great for me, but breaks me out. Was excited to hear about this, but it’ll probably be too dark. :(

I’m a little confused sam macys doesn’t sell sephora…sephora is a store that sells makeup products. This particular collection of makeup and this product is sold exclusively at Sephora. Hope this helps.

Muse I bought this tonight because I tried it in Sephora and not only did it not oxidize on me it also didn’t make my face itch (I never wear foundation because of this…although I did have a bit of luck with Tony Moly’s CC cream). Plan on wearing it all day tomorrow and hope that it works as well as it did tonight.

This is not a full coverage powder. I have tons of red acne hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, and this barely covered them. Only offers light coverage. I have oily and dry skin, and this oxidized 2 shades darker.
