Katy Perry Killer Queen Eau de Parfum Must Be Mine

By Isabella Muse on August 19, 2013 23 Comments

in Celebs, Fall Collections 2013, Fragrance

Kathy Perry Killer Queen Eau de Parfum

I happen to be a MASSIVE Queen fan so of course, I HAVE to have Katy Perry Killer Queen Eau de Parfum! I didn’t get on with Pur so fabulously and didn’t love Meow either but Killer Queen, Killer Queen I have to own just for the sake of owning it…seriously, it’s name after one of my favorite Queen song’s how can I resist pray tell?

Killer Queen by Katy Perry ($49) is supposedly a charmingly playful floriental fragrance with luscious notes inspired by a Queen’s scepter, the jewel-shaped bottle portrays sexy sophistication and luxury. The rich gold crown cap showcases a custom crest capturing Katy Perry’s playful essence.

Top Notes: Dark Plum, Wild Berry, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Natural Jasmine Sambac, Rainbow Plumeria, Red Velvet Flower
Base Notes: Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart, Liquid Praline

If ANYONE knows Freddie he adored prancing onto the stage in a full queen’s cape and crown waving a scepter. I’m sure he’d approve of Killer Queen.

It’s available now at Macys, Ulta, Nordstrom, etc….

I look forward to taking a sniff! Guaranteed to blow my mind? Doubtful! Meow and Pur didn’t.

There was an ad in the september issue of InStyle with a little tester strip and I was surprised by how much I liked it. It’s much more sophisticated than her previous scents, which were too teenage girl for my tastes, but it still has a sweetness. I find the bottle to be really beautiful, so it’s definitely going on my NEED TO OWN list.

It might be like Diesel’s Loverdose which is meant to rest on its side? The side edges appear to be flatter.

Love the song, you got me there…derived from the first album I ever owned, when I was 5 or 6, when my parents got sick of me asking them to play it and just gave it to me 🙂 I’ll have to give it a try!

Katy Perry D: and Killer Queen 😀 … I’m so torn!!

I will have to smell it though, I’ve come to learn I love Patchouli in a scent, but I’m very hard to please. I have only found two scents in recent years that I like: Narciso Rodreguiz EDT original, and Balenciaga Florabotanica. But I’m intrigued!

I’m not a big fan of Katy Perry, but I LOVE Queen. I’ve been getting into more floral scents lately so the “floriental” aspect of this fragrance sounds interesting. And the bottle looks gorgeous! I haven’t seen this around yet so I’d better keep my eyes peeled, as this is (with the hope that I’ll like the scent) now on my must buy list.

I think the bottle design is beautiful, and I’ve seen some with a stand that holds the bottle upright. I think the scent is decent, but way too busy-too many notes in it.
