Skin Food Water Drop Facial Ice Vita Cream Review & Swatches
You might well recognize the Skin Food Water Drop Facial Ice Vita Cream as it is from the same collection as the recently released Skin Food Facial Ice Vita Mist and Skin Food Vita Water Drop CC Cream I recently reviewed for you!
Supposedly this contains over 80% Alaskan Glacier water. I said it before I say it again I have no idea where in Korea they get Glacier water but props for great marketing….!
Hehe!
This is a generously sized tube of gel moisturizer. It has a clean refreshing citrus scent that many of Skin Food’s products share. I think Skin Food has plenty of gel moisturizers and this isn’t terribly different from products such as Skin Food Fresh Juice C Cream or Skin Food Lettuce and Cucumber Water Jelly Cream.
I think if you tried one style of Asian gel moisturizer you’ve kinda tried them all! At some point they all run together. I love them don’t get me wrong but they are the type of product you’ll really want to use up prior to indulging in a new one since that new one is likely the same as your old moisturizer.
I will say this has a chunkier gel texture in comparison to other moisturizers products and is more like the formula of Mizon’s Returning Starfish and Secret Key’s Angel Tears moisturizers however, it doesn’t have the same memory foam like consistency.
It does not contain mineral oil and has a cool, refreshing texture that turns into a watery runny consistency as you apply it. It absorbs quickly into skin and leaves it delicately hydrated and supple after use. It might be too little moisture for those with drier skin so I recommend it as a daily moisturizer in the Summer months when you want to lighten up a bit.
I think a lovely little moisturizer with a formula that absorbs easily into my skin and keeps me nicely hydrated throughout the day without creating unnecessary oil or greasiness. It’s particularly great for oily skin as it is lighter and won’t create shine or make you look or feel greasy. I wouldn’t recommend it for dry, aging skin as you might require moisture than this can provide. However, if you desire a lightweight Summer moisturizer this is an excellent pick. Just keep in mind that it isn’t terribly special or worthy of a purchase if you already have a gel moisturizer in your current skincare rotation as I find it very similar to many other moisturizers that are already available from a variety of Asian brands.
