Ponds Pure White Facial Cleansing Foam Review
Meet Ponds Pure White Facial Cleansing Foam which is apparently formulated with activated carbon. Supposedly this carbon attracts “black” this lifting away dirt, oil, makeup, and blackheads creating clean skin. Eh? Black attracts black that’s basically what the formula is marketed as. Meaning dirt is attracted to the activated carbon in the formula. Although the actual cleanser looks purple and not the carbon black one would suspect….but hey, interesting concept.
Hows it do?
Ponds Pure White Facial Cleansing Foam is a foaming cleanser that contains activated carbon and Vitamin B3. It’s a foaming cleanser that creates a dense, foam when pumped out. It has a slipper feel on skin when applied and creates a good deal of lather. The carbon formula is supposed to attract impurities, dirt, oil, etc…and get skin squeaky clean and leave it brighter, whiter, and more luminous.
I’ve used it over two months and can’t say my skin looks any brighter after use. It does do a fairly great job of getting ALL makeup off though and leaves my skin super clean.
I typically test a cleanser by dosing a cotton pad with witch hazel and smoothing the pad over my face. If it comes back with dirt on it my cleanser is obviously not getting ALL my makeup off! In the case of this cleanser the pad came clean away and my face just looked and felt super clean.
This is a basic foaming cleanser all in all though…so it isn’t something you absolutely need but if you are shopping Sasa.com you can snag one for $9 or so dollars from the site. It is exclusive to Asia though so don’t expect to find it in local stores.
