Rimmel Metallic Seduction Lasting Finish Lipstick Review & Swatches
I consider September the first day of Fall so Rimmel Metallic Seduction Lasting Finish Lipstick is my first Fall lip of the season! I don’t love Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick’s formula mind you but I adore the Metallic Seduction shade with a passion.
If you’re looking for gorgeous wine colored lips for Fall I’d suggest this cheap as chips shade.
Rimmel Metallic Seduction Lasting Finish Lipstick ($5.19) is an opaque metallic berry wine. It’s a bit frosty but not too bad…I can’t do frost so it deserves to be mentioned when they are around any of my makeup products. The frost goes more shimmery on me and the shade has a poison apple red-like finish….! It’s rather a stunning shade for Fall looks.
Typically I find Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick incredibly drying but the metallic finish does something for the formula here as it wasn’t nearly as dry as I expected it to be. I also find the glide has a smoother more even finish and doesn’t tug across my lips during application.
Although they advertise eight hours of wear, I get about four in before the color loses some of its intensity and fading is complete at around hour five without eating or drinking of course.
I think the color is really what speaks to me here as I love a wine lipstick shade for Fall especially one that’s vampy yet wearable and Metallic Seduction allows for this!
Plus it helps that the shade is under five dollars at certain drugstores! Love me a budget friendly Fall lip look!
