Benefit Lollitint Review & Swatches
Benefit Lollitint is a new Candy Orchid Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain that Benefit recently launched for Spring 2014. Perhaps Benefit had some prior knowledge of the new Pantone Color of the Year for 2014 because this purple shade of cheek stain is RIGHT on trend for the Spring season.
Take a look!
Benefit Lollitint is a creamy lip and cheek stain that adds a pop of orchid shaded tint to lips and cheeks. Orchid inspired blushes are likely going to go viral with Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014 being it but they have been released prior with MAC’s Quite Cute Blushes and of course, most recently in the Etude House Minnie Mouse Collection!
Hour 12, still holding strong!
At first application for me Benefit Lollitint is a little sheerer but color can be built up for better pop. I like that Benefit’s newer tints are a creamier texture because they apply considerably less patchy than the original rose colored Benetint. The texture is very hydrating and has a dewy finish once applied. I actually look like I’m wearing Benefit Posietint in my photos below as Benefit Lollitint doesn’t actually look orchid or purple on me. It’ll likely vary from skin tone to skin tone with olive, tanned, caramel, or darker skin tones likely have the best results with getting a more candy orchid finish on their cheeks as this is a shade that really flatters such a skin tone!
On Lips and Cheeks
On Cheeks
On cheeks it wears a solid 12 hours without fading away where as on lips you’ll see a shorter wear of around three hours to four hours.
The great thing about Benefit Lollitint is indeed it sounds unusual and perhaps intimidating to wear purple-y orchid anything on your cheeks but in fact the shade is very wearable and should be universally flattering on a broad range of skin tones.
This one is officially available in January but Benefit gets an early launch on their website at www.benefitcosmetics.com if you’re impatient to get your hands on it!
