Maybelline Beige-ing Beauty Color Tattoo Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Maybelline Beige-ing Beauty Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is yet another new cream eyeshadow that launched with the Maybelline Dare to Go Nude Collection for Spring 2014.
This one is a very interesting shade because it actually lacks a ton of color and is more about shimmer so if you hate yourself some shimmer best step away from this review.
At a glance I thought Maybelline Beige-ing Beauty Color Tattoo Eyeshadow would be my favorite shade from this release but after trying it I actually feel like the other colors I’ve tried thus far are a bit better in terms of pigment and formula.
Maybelline Beige-ing Beauty Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is a stunning shade in the pot. This is a golden beige that reflects a peachy undertone with a frosty finish. The shade is quite unique as it has very pretty golden flecks throughout it.
The creamy consistency is dense yet slick like the other shades in the release however, it falls short during application and sets to a slightly patchy finish. The shade also doesn’t come across as beautiful on lids as it does within the pot. I get more of larger shimmer pieces on my lids but very little color. In this case, it’ll make a rather nice base for eyeshadows but might be a bit overkill on lids if you dislike shimmery. I typically have a good wear time with Color Tattoos but this creased a fair bit heading into hour five.
On the upside, if you can get past the patchiness (this might not be an issue for oily lids) it makes for a rather nice illuminating eye look.
I wouldn’t say skip it completely because if you’re like me you just want to own every single shade of Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow they create NO MATTER the consequences.
But you should probably brace yourself for being slightly disappointed with the finish, formula, and lack of pigment.
Own it?
